Re: Email Issues
I'm hoping the various changes I made this week fixed the mail issue. At least there are no longer any mail bounced error messages in the log. If people are still not getting emails though just let me know.

Re: UESP Report on ESO from PAX East
Do you think the game seems to be user friendly enough for people to get into it, despite having very minimal MMO experience? I know that's a tough question to answer since you have MMO experience. I definitely want to get the game, so I'm just curious as to your thoughts on an MMO newb and ES vet ...

Re: UESP Report on ESO from PAX East
Did you feel like the number of useable skills was enough?
I didn't really play anywhere near enough to see this...it would take a while and you need to get to level 50 to see how balanced it was throughout. The system at first glance does look interesting especially when considering that as you ...

Re: UESP Report on ESO from PAX East
How are the styles of weapons/armour? Similar to Skyrim, or completely re-done (again...)? It has already been said medium armour will be in, will we also be able to wear clothes underneath armour, like in Morrowind?

Re: UESP Report on ESO from PAX East
I was hoping for something perhaps a tad harsher. Slightly larger XP drop (you lose all XP points that you've gained at that current level though you can't drop below the level you are on.) and the loss of your equipped weapons and armour (if someone loots your body before it vanishes.) Make people ...

Re: UESP Report on ESO from PAX East
Well that's slightly disappointing. (However the talk of fine tuning the system does give me some hope that we might see something better.)

Re: UESP Report on ESO from PAX East
Great Report, i'm looking forward to the game.
Just one question, what happens when you die?
is it like some other MMO's that you just lose eveything and spawn in a certain place or are there some checkpoints?
i think it's rather unlikely you can save anytime you want?
thanks for the future reply ...

Re: UESP Report on ESO from PAX East
Warms my heart! Really interesting insight into the feel of the game, particularly its apparent likeness to Skyrim. Did you notice there seemed to be any incorporation of the Radiant system we saw introduced in Skyrim? And by the way, always glad to see more of you Daveh!

Re: UESP Report on ESO from PAX East
I like how one of the first things you do when you're given a bag of Septims is ask: "Are they magnetic?"
I'm not criticizing as I'd of done the same to figure out what they were made out of, but for some reason it does seem like it might be the wrong knee jerk reaction.

Some sort of metal. I'm guessing brass from its basic properties (weight, gold, non-magnetic) with some sort of antiquing finish.AddictedtoMorrowind wrote:That is so cool. I love the woven bag that was included with the coins. What are the coins made out of?

Re: UESP Report on ESO from PAX East
How many Septims did you use for the Tamriel Beer Garden thing?
Hah! I only used two (for food). The rest of the time I was glued to either the game or the developers.
Did they let you keep them, then? I'd love to see more high resolution images of them, if you could take them.

At first I thought it was a shame that the coins didn't have Tiber Septim's face on them, and then I remembered I was being an idiot because this is ESO and he won't be born for another 300 years...

Thank you for the write-up! Greatly appreciated.
Did you get a chance to experience the sound of the game at all? If so, how was the music? Was it as good as recent TES games?
Yes...each station had its own set of headphones. I don't remember the music at all...either it was set very low so I ...

UESP Report on ESO from PAX East
I've written up a short PAX East 2013 Tamriel Beer Garden Event Report from my experience at PAX this weekend. If anyone has more questions on my experience/opinion of the game feel free to ask it here. I have a bunch of thoughts which I thought weren't appropriate or relevant for the report.

I do apologize for taking so long to answer this interview. Avron had told me about it last year but due to my poor memory and having too much on the site to do it slipped my mind. If you'd like to follow up on my answers or have other questions feel free to continue the discussion in this topic (I ...

A couple of quick things, that may or may not be unique to browsing from my phone.
1. The layout seems wider, meaning that it appears smaller on my screen. I'm assuming this has something to do with the changes at the top of the page. Everything just seems more condensed. Not really a problem ...

Love the changes except...
1. No quick reply box at the bottom.
2. I like the UESP square! It sounds picky, but I'd rather see the whole UESP logo.
Good comments...I have no idea where the "quick reply" went to but I'll look into it. The old logo can be easily changed back if desired (I'll ...

I switched the forums to use the new database server this afternoon. While we shouldn't have lost anything in the process it appears we may have (I'm not sure why). I'll look into it and make sure everything is working as it should now.

Unfortunately, its a bit more complicated than that. There are a few custom modifications to the forum code in addition to a bunch of mods installed. If the is an obvious benefit, or a large demand to upgrade, I'll certainly consider it but I generally don't update just because I can. Similarily ...
