one thing i think they could do is let Bethesda do games set on the east coast, and let Obsidian do games set on the west coast
but in general, i want bethesda to Develop and Write the next game, and the one after that, etc
im one of the people who didnt enjoy NV that much, just so you know
NV just felt boring to me, i couldnt get into it. i didnt like exploring, i didnt like the side quests, i HATED the main quest
the DLCs were ok:
Dead Money was good, i enjoyed the story, and being forced to use items you wouldnt normally use
Honest Hearts was my favourite Add-On, it added characters i actually liked and i liked its story and map, plus Randall Clarks miny story was great
Old World Blues was my least favourite, i hate this DLC, it felt silly to me, and i didnt think it was funny. I HATE all the jokes
Lonesome Road was ... ok.. just ok, nothing special
basicly, i enjoyed NV, it was fun, but thats about it. it wasnt anything special to me, i didnt find it very memorable.

no, i didnt play them
and in that case, maybe its better if i dont play them.

I have the exactly same opinion as you
I ditto this as well. It's weird how we feel the exact same about every aspect of the game, isn't it?
I played the originals. They were alright, but nothing special as well.
Like I said, it's all up to the person. I felt that as a fan, I needed to play the originals to see the origins. I ended up having a blast playing the originals. I was a huge fan of Baldur's Gate, and that meant that Fallout 1 and 2 were really fun for me.

Yeah I felt the same way when buying them. It's not like I thought they were bad. I just didn't find it very memorable, not to mention there were parts that I found really boring.
And yes Kerr I found that it tried a lot of jokes that were just plain not funny. Not to mention it was so dialogue heavy, that it made the story drag really quickly. So quickly that the first time I played it, I stopped playing during the insanely long conversation with the not-funny robot thing. But alas I did play through the whole DLC.

Also you can dislike Old Word Blues?
oh i didnt just Dislike OWB, i HATED it !
i must not like those kind of jokes. it just annoyed me
i have nothing against Dialogue Heavy stuff, as long as i am enjoying the Dialogue. this was not one of the times when i enjoyed it
and im not Judging the originals cause i have never played them

I've beat every Fallout besides the 2nd and BoS, I played the 2nd but It was just so big and I would always get sidetracked, it's a huge game to be honest, the first is far more linear and can be beat in like 10-12 hours on a normal playthrough and killing the Master was a memorable experience for me in the first. I really liked Fallout 3 and would put it in the top 10 games I've played of the decade easily but I still find New Vegas more expansive and it has better choices and more weapons, the DLC's for both games are rather equal in terms of quality as well.
I found Dead Money to be pretty darn awesome actually, at first I HATED it but the collar added some challenge in a game that lacks challenge, although fighting a deathclaw at level 1 on hard is tough if not impossible unless you loot like 300 10mm bullets.
I don't really care much about the BoS so the backstory of the old dude didn't really interest me much but the backstory of the Sierra Madre itself did.
Honest Hearts was a different can of worms, it was almost the opposite and felt a bit too pretty for a Fallout game. Sure, it was nice meeting the burned man but the DLC didn't have many real choices that mattered, I didn't really care if the Sorrows fought or flee'd, I felt very disconnected. Some of the loot was fairly good such as the unique power fist and the unaffiliated Riot Gear but it was the worst dlc out of the 4 in my opinion.
Old World Blues was a bit average for me, I liked it more than Honest Hearts but I preferred Dead Money over it. The story was interesting, some of the jokes were pretty funny when I was high, and the new perks were OP as hell. The new uniques were a mixed bag but the stealth suit was pretty funny, it actually felt like you were wearing a real person in some ways. I just wish it talked a bit more, sadly though I'm not much into stealth and prefer running into combat with a power fist so I rarely used it at all. While the DLC was good it was a bit expansive and felt a bit overwhelming, I prefer linearity with a lot of choices.
Lonesome Road was probably my favorite DLC, it really felt like a warzone. The whole area was just a mess and infested with all sorts of deadly enemies and monsters, the writing was superb and it really was just an excellent DLC in every way. It felt like all 3 of the other DLC had a child and called it Lonesome Road. The ending was memorable and it really felt like the end of the road for the courier and closed his/her journey perfectly. It was also the most challenging DLC from a combat perspective and it took tactics to kill some of the enemies on hard mode and even normal mode in all honesty. The gear was great and I can't give enough praise about this DLC.
Then again my opinion probably differs an awful lot from most as The Pitt was my favorite Fallout 3 dlc and many people hated it.
1. Lonesome Road
2. Dead Money
3. Old World Blues
4. Honest Hearts
Only played FO3 (about 1700 hrs only) and FO1 (only 2 playthroughs)... but I hope I get to try the rest in the far future!
Still, this series left such a strong impression on me; probably had something to do with the alternate reality of our world and how it excites and spooks me at the same time (ex: White noise experiments... where?! Where are they?! Is it true that a gun can't kill them?! Oh no, I'm gonna die, aren't I?!?!). Post-apocalyptic setting is so ambivalent: depressing and motivational... so I decided to always have a small piece of the FO universe beside my bed. Helps to inspire a lot of pleasent dreams!

@philfredobob Hi, the Nuka Break dvd is a gift/perk from the the movie's kickstarter event. I believe that was the only way to receive one. I'm excited for the second season but was sad that I didn't get to donate...
@Knight Captain Kerr That's right, haven't been able to play it yet! So many games to choose and not enough time.

Thank you for all the compliments. I also have the honor to call one of my friends Dogmeat (he is the earliest ancestor of the Dogmeat lineage):
Recently got back into Fallout, picked up the game of the year edition for Fallout 3 for dirt cheap and sold my original disk about a fortnight ago.
Finished the Main Quest, Mothership Zeta, Point Lookout and Operation Anchorage.
Gonna finish up Broken Steel and then do the Pitt.
All this talk of Fallout has my itching to play Fallout 2 again. Such an amazing game! The best of the series IMO, though I know some have other preferences. The open-endedness is a large part of its magic if you ask me Much like BGII-SoA
I've started a new game using killapp's unofficial patch and MIB88 (with Nirra's help of course)'s MegaMod v2.44 instead of my usual Restoration mod route. Through the temple of trials there were already some interesting differences/neat additions. The little changes make it feel very fresh to me and I haven't taken so long to get past the ToT since my first playthrough. There were lots of riddles and running away
EDIT: Can't load my save I see why people say to stick to Restoration - now for another clean install
Let's play some APB ReloadedMount & Blade: WarbandAPB ReloadedMech Warrior OnlineAPB ReloadedBattlefield 4 SKYRIM!
Listing my favorite Fallout New Vegas DLC
1. Old WOrld Blues
2. Tie between Dead Money and Lonesome Road.
3. Honest Hearts
I like them all quite a bit. Old World Blues kept me entertained all the way through with interesting dialogue, characters, and the world map was quite good.
Dead Money, had a awesome point of story, reconnected me with Elijah and showed me Veronica's backstory developed more, and it was the most challenging Bethesda DLC yet. Especially since I have went in there with no skill in Melee weapons
Lonesome Road continued on the story of the Courier, which was cool, but it kinda forced you in that being your back story. But the items gained, the voice acting, and pure fun of the long walk made up for it.
Honest Hearts continued the story of Joshua Graham, which I always wanted to know more about, and threw in some cool lore of Zion, including the touching story of the Survivalist. The only part I didn't like was I wasn't into the tribals, but they weren't bad either.
Just watched this and it's very interesting. Makes me want to find that book
I've played both Fallout 3 GOTY and Fallout: New Vegas, and I enjoyed them both a lot. Once I get tired of TES (bah, like that'll ever happen), I might hop over back to one of them and create characters very different from my old ones to get the view from the other side of the room so to speak. I also tried the strategy games but I don't really like strategy games to begin with, so I didn't enjoy what little of them I played. My favorite DLC by far of F3 is Mothership Zeta. Gets my heart all warm and fuzzy with images of 50's science fiction B-movies and lasers.
Edit: Now I want to own all the DLC's for New Vegas T_T
Ally McBeal: Even if I did get past all my problems, I'm just gonna get out and get new ones
I guess it could be cool, though here's hoping the city is more like D.C. than New Vegas. Not that N.V. was badly designed just not nearly as impressive as the labyrinth designed by Bethesda. Sure it was scarcely populated (unless you count Mutants, raiders and Ghouls who all want to kill you), but it was larger and more uniquely built.
I guess you can look forward to androids and other new technologies in Boston.
