I'm doing the Hermaeus Mora quest, and I found 9 of the ten races in about 20 minutes, and I've been searching, killing/Mora-trapping pretty much everyone trying to find a Breton (once I find one, I'll reload it beforehand and just go trap that one person). I've been to a couple necromancer caves, I've even killed NPC's who are supposed to be Bretons (Delphine in the Bravil Mages guild, Edgar from Edgar's discount spells) - I guess you can't use "mainish" character NPC's for souls (all my other 9 I got from Daedric shrines).
Anyway, my question is, who/where did you guys find Bretons for this quest?

If you're killing these so called Bretons and they're not counting towards the quest it might be bugged. That is just speculation at this point but if you kill a few more and get no result I think you should start looking to solve your problem in another way.
Yeah, I might try restarting the quest, unfortunately I've done a whole bunch of stuff in the middle of it, but hey that's Oblivion. If that doesn't work, I might try clearing the 360 Cache to remove the patch and seeing if that works.
One more thing - I'm curious about the spell's usage. The reason I ask is because, when I use it on anybody, they glow purple for a second to indicate they've been hit by it. However, when I use it multiple times on NPCs, I get "error" message (the stuff on the top left that's like 'you're over-encumbered' and such) saying "You cannot trap more than one soul at a time for Lord Mora" and "This person is already affected by Mora's Soul Trap". When I do it multiple times to enemies though, I don't get those messages. Probably just another bug, but if anybody has any other additional insight feel free to chime in, otherwise thanks guys.
