Healing Others, help!

Post by SlasherSaw »

Once, someone gave to me spells to heal up to 40pts other people. I want to know where i could get some more because i guess i'm not advance enough to create some. I'm the Arch-Mage of the arcane university and half through the fighters guild and i really need some more Major heal others spells. Where could i buy some?

Slasher are you talking about spells or scrolls? If you had a heal spell, you should still have it, so it sounds like you're talking about scrolls??

I'm suspecting that it might be the Greater Convalescence scroll in this list??

If that's the case, there's no "sure" places to get it, but I'd try any Merchs in any of the Mage's Guilds and other general Magic-based Merchs as well (like Alch suppliers).

You will have a v. basic "heal" spell anyhow, everyone starts with this, have you tried using an Altar of Spellmaking to see what the most effective "heal other" spell you can make is? On touch and spread over a longer duration is most likely to be most cost-effective, but try it out and see what you can get.

As far as I know you'll need to be at least a journeyman of Restoration to cast even the lowest leveled Convalescence/Heal Other spell.

Isn't it just 'Restore Health' then 'At Target'?

Edit: Woop, misinterpreted the question.
Just make a really low level Restoration spell at the university and spam it till you get the needed level then make a heal other.
Was that the right answer?

Create: Restore Health, On Self, 1 point

Cast away....and you're Restoration will be up in no time. (I usually like to cast this while donning a suit of full heavy armor, and being beat up by mudcrabs, so I simultaneously raise my Endurance-related skills (repairing the armor afterwards, and blocking occassionally)... ;)

If your gonna spam cast, you might as well hold up your shield, it lets you cast faster.

Personally, I'd rather reverse pickpocket a zero-weight item with Paralyze on them, then I won't have to worry about them getting in my way, hehe..., then just remove it afterwards.

^ Actually it was the right topic, he was saying he prefers to paralyze his allies to keep them as detached from the battle as possible, that way he doesn't have to bother healing them (as much).

Still... it's a mean way to go.

How would you remove it if they've got it equipped? They can't unequip something if they're paralyzed, can they?

Convalescence is a ripoff... it's best to buy the cheapest one, and make do with that until you get l33t enough to make your own spells.
Help? Help with what? They don't make a cure for stupid. You'll just have to play through the game all over again. - Butterknife

But once glass weapons start to spawn, you'll soon have more money than you know what to do with. What else would you spend it on?

I decided to start playing OB again on my knight, but the mods aren't loading. I checked my memory and they were all there, but aren't activated. Any ideas?

....Activate them?

Either go to the Oblivion Launcher and activate them through Data, or get Wrye B/Mash (I forgot which one it was).
