Main Quest Secrets?

Hey, I have Just started my 2nd trip through the "Elder Scrolls", and I still have some questions about my 1st time around.

The one thing I want to know: Is it possible to "steal power from the Heart of Lorkhan".... Vivec mentioned that the player(me) "will not be taught the procedure for stealing the power, but only the procedure for destroying the Heart"

So.... is there a certain order of hits by Keening and Sunder that can grant me immortality?

P.S. Did you notice the crappy ring given as a parting gift? I mean, I just saved the world! you would think they would build me a palace.

no, it can't grant your immortality. plus, if you did that, you wouldn't ever be able to complete the main quest and the line of prophecy would be severed. for all anyone knows it could require 234524 hits from sunder, 436246 hits from keening, 12312 hits from sunder, 346456 hits form keening, and so on, but it's likely that since if you dont' do the correct number of times, you simply sever the line of prophecy, that it's impossible to gain immortality. i'm sure this would have been addressed in the main quest section of the website if you were able to become immortal.
