Main Quest-line trouble

I'm having a bit of trouble with some of the main quest-line arches on ESO, and could use some assistance : I'm a Wood Elf (Which I assume is for the Aldmeri Dominion alliance), and I think I'm close to being on the next-to-final stages of the main quest-line, but having a problem with a few of the main quest-line arches that, I believe all lead to the same spot.

Which one do I do first ? Council of The Five Companions or Messages Across Tamriel, first ? I've done either before, but it's been a while. As of yesterday, I decided to stop in one of the buildings in Craglorn for the evening - or so.

Well, there's technically two main quests: your Alliance main questline, and the Companions main questline. The two quests you mention are toward the end of each of those. I've found across my characters the order doesn't matter much, really, although I have typically chosen to do the Alliance quests first with the Companion quests sprinkled in for the shameless skill points.

Although it's been a few days, so you likely figured out a choice by now. Hope it was enjoyable!
