Ancient Dragonborn, Aetherium glitch?

I am on the Aetherium forge quest, the part where I have to put the peices together. So I put them down on the alter, like Katria my ghost companion said to. Then out of nowhere, the ancient dragonborn shows up and start unleashing all hell on us! Katia cant die and I am only a level 9, so after an hour of slowly picking away at his health, I finally got him to drop to his knees, but he just won't die! I cannot finish the quest unless he dies, I have tried fast traveling, sleeping, and doing other quests. But everytime I go back they are both still there locked in an eternal battle. I am on xbox one, is there anyway to fix this?

If this thing is attacking you, that's definitely a glitch, because it's supposed to be on your side and completely invulnerable.

That is him, except his body seems more solid. He uses a katana, frost, and fire shouts. I have followed him and Katria fighting all the way up to Mistwatch now, they are literally killing every person, animal, and anomaly in thier path. If I follow them long enough the might wipe out every living soul in Tamriel. Has anyone ever seen anything like this?
