I have been having problems with Skyrim CTD for a while. I have run through every tweak and save file utility I could find, and finally uninstalled all my mods. It seems to be better, but I ran player.showinventory from the console I get a large number of entries that show up as BAD EDITOR ID.
What does that mean ?
How do I correct it ?
Could it be causing my CTD problem ?
Thanks
Jack

Re: BAD EDITOR ID
i think if you uninstall mod the item record stays in savegame and game thinks it's bad record because it no longer have data for it in game files

Re: BAD EDITOR ID
"BAD EDITOR ID" lines are common when you showinventory. As far as I know it means nothing.
As for your crashing problem, that's likely caused by several factors, such as mod incompatibility, improper mod installation, or a broken mod. You'll have to try re-enabling your mods little by little until you find what's causing the problem.
edit: Just realized this is from January.

Re: BAD EDITOR ID
As mentioned above, it's a line that always shows up. My theory it's the data concerning the Smithing improvements, enchantments and name applied to that particular item. The game doesn't recognize these extras and so labels them as "Bad Editor ID".
Baurus: Our job is to get the Emperor out of situations like this. Though I'll admit, things aren't going exactly to plan.
Casandra: At the moment, the deadliest weapon at my disposal is a goblin's head on a stick. I'd be worried if this was the plan.
