Weird Sensitivity Issue

Post by DreadAdmiralMatze »

So I decided to play Oblivion again because I haven't played it in ages. Once I loaded up a new toon and got everything done I noticed there was an issue where if I were to try to turn the camera diagonally down-left or down-right it would act as if the sensitivity was turned way down (like WAY down). All the other directions (up, down, up-left, up-right, etc) worked 100% fine, but it is extremely annoying. I know it isn't my controller's fault (probably) because I just got done playing a bit of Fallout: New Vegas before starting Oblivion and it worked just fine. This is on Playstation 3 by the way.

The PS3 version is the worst version of the game, by far. There are a ton of unfixed issues for that version, and a lot of game content was never ported over to it. I've never experienced what you're describing, nor can I find any records of similar happening online, so I'm not sure how what you should do besides messing with your controller's sensitivity or testing out a different controller. Should those fail, is that there isn't much drastic need to look down and left or down and right at the same time, so the game should still basically be playable. My final recommendation, get it on a different platform if this agitates you enough, due to the outstanding issues with the PS3 version and this.

Yeah, I've been considering buying it on Steam just for the modding capability. I might just do that when I get the chance.
