Recently I have feeling an urge to play some Fallout cause I getting tired of waiting for Fallout 4 to be announced. One Problem my old brother took the 360 with him to his apartment and I don't have to money to buy a new one which i need to get eventually mostly for exclusives like Blue Dragon but more to point I also don't have the money to build a new PC,which I have been wanting to do for a quite a few years now.I can't run Skyrim that well but I can run Oblivion pretty well with quite a bit of mods.So my question is could I run Fallout 3 and New Vegas with mods with out framerate drops the make the games unplayable.
Here is my specs
OS:Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit
Ram:4 GB
CPU:Intel Core 2 Duo @2.7Ghz
GPU:ATI Radeon HD 3400 Series
Can I run Fallout 3 and New Vegas?

Re: Can I run Fallout 3 and New Vegas?
If you can run Oblivion at some high-end settings, then you should definitely be able to play Fallout 3; however, New Vegas might be a bit iffy: it came out between the releases of Oblivion and Skyrim, so you might be able to run it on at least average settings (i.e. the settings that it's already configured to), maybe, just maybe some high-end settings that aren't too taxing.
Currently Playing: Arena (CD Version 1.07)
Current Character: Ka'dar Namarri, Male Khajiit Thief

I've decided I will just wait for the one day I will finally be able to build a better computer.I have build in mind would this a be a good one for playing Fallout3,NV and Skyrim with mods. Here is my proposed build though I won't actually be building it for a while,I need to actually have to money to do it.
But here's the link to the build

Two 970s is inadvisable, go for a 980 Ti or something. Best advice for gpu purchases is to get the best single card you could afford, which is the 980 Ti here if you're looking at two 970s. Also tone it down to just two 4 GB sticks of RAM.Maxrebo wrote:I've decided I will just wait for the one day I will finally be able to build a better computer.I have build in mind would this a be a good one for playing Fallout3,NV and Skyrim with mods. Two stickers are generally faster than one, and if you're keeping it vidya, and not using Photoshop or rendering software, 8 GB is sufficient. Otherwise, it looks fine though, though add some extra consideration to your monitor. Two 970s are overkill for 1080p gaming at 60fps, considering upping to either a 144 Hz monitor or a 1440p one at that.

New Vegas runs on the same engine as FO3.Gandoril Spellbinder wrote:If you can run Oblivion at some high-end settings, then you should definitely be able to play Fallout 3; however, New Vegas might be a bit iffy: it came out between the releases of Oblivion and Skyrim, so you might be able to run it on at least average settings (i.e. the settings that it's already configured to), maybe, just maybe some high-end settings that aren't too taxing.
