So, I really like the Multiple Teleport Marking mod I downloaded many moons ago, that allows me up to 12 Marks and the ability to choose which one I Recall to, but it has a limitation: locations added in other plugins have to be coded into the script. Otherwise, anytime I cast Mark in, say, Tamriel Rebuilt or some new dungeon, it's saved as "Unknown Territory", and I can have only one Unknown Territory mark set at a time.
The author of the mod (which, when you download it, includes plugins for Tribunal, Bloodmoon, and Firemoth Fort—though some parts of Firemoth Fort are still considered "Unknown Territory" for some reason) seems to have anticipated people wanting to extend the mod's changes to other cells, and included a code generator that I assume gets the names of cells from a loaded plugin (such as Tamriel Rebuilt) and codes them into the MultiMark script.
The only problem? I have no knowledge of Perl. (It doesn't help that I can't quite understand what the author is trying to explain; looks like English is not his/her first language.)
Here is the code s/he supplied, under a cut to keep this from being a super-long post (it's not really a spoiler, but that tag is the fastest way to hide/show it):
Spoiler:
begin Teleport_Generate_Scriptcode
; this is NO Morrowind script !!! - it is the Perl script I used to generate main parts of the
; morrowind script code. If you don't know what Perl is see it as magic staff and stop reading.
;
; I includet these script because I tink it could be usefull to add new features into your own
; possition based mods (a.e. building different cell information dialogs). I would recomend,
; or at least prefer, if you would would reference to my mod instead of copying the full MB
; (more than all other Morrowind scripts together) code into your mod. This will keep your
; mod small and compatible with other mods build up on my code.
;
; These script uses 2 input files (extcells.txt, intcells.tx) wich can be generated by 2 simple
; cell exports from the TES-CS. To get it working you have to remove only the ";" from the 1. line.
I'm hoping that someone with more programming knowledge than I have (which, chances are, is most people on this forum :V ) can give me simple instructions for using the code generator. I'll be happy to do all the work myself, as long as you tell me what's necessary. (Paste something into WordPad and find/replace? Is it all doable from inside the Construction Set?)
