Oblivion Grab and/or Skyrim Leveling

Post by flerbergerber »

So I'm playing through morrowind again (I've beat it once with a marksman thief) as a warrior. I decided I wanted to change the game up a bit... a lot. So about an horu later, here I am with about 40 mods installed, looking for a few more fun ones. Something I really liked when playing through Oblivion was that you could grab almost anything and just through it around. Are there any mods that add that to Morrowind? Also in the short time I played Skyrim (My computer cannot handle it at all), I really enjoyed the level up system, mainly the skill trees. I know that's a lot to ask for, but is there a mod that adds that to morrowind? Thanks for anything, guys.

Oblivion and Skyrim use the Havok physics engine in their games, and that's why they are able to do stuff like that. Morrowind uses a different game engne.

If you want to play Morrowind via the discs and on that engine, the answer is probably "No, there isn't a mod", because you need a whole new game engine, which is something not readily changable.

You can give Morroblivion a shot. I've not used it myself, but it's an Oblivion-based mod that recreates Vvardenfell, meaning you can explore Vvadenfell within the Oblivion Havok engine.

As for the perk trees and that stuff, I offer no solutions, only the opinion that levelling on the spot is less immersive than the older games' 'resting and reflecting' philosophy.
Oh my love, Anastasia, this may be our last goodbye.

Yes, I said that. Don't worry, it's a faithful recreation, I hear. It's also the only way to experience Oblvion's physics system while playing on Vvardenfell.

Do you not have Oblivion on PC?

I've only ever played oblivion on a console, and it wasn't even my console. So I guess there's not really a solution for this then.

You can wait for the release of Skywind, and have your precious physics and skill trees in a shiny desaturated Vvardenfell.
