Re: Bethesda pole
Out of those games? New Vegas.
Out of Bethesda Developed games? Morrowind.
Bethesda Game Studios is the developer, Bethesda Softworks is the publisher.
Obsidian Entertainment made New Vegas, not Bethesda . Bethesda were the Publisher and did the QA. Likewise Bethesda published Dishonered but Arkane Studios developed it.

Re: Bethesda pole
My favorite ES game is Oblivion, but my favorite Bethesda game is Fallout 3.
As for reasons, I like Oblivion best of the Elder Scrolls games, mainly because of the realistic colors, and the varied terrains. I feel it has the most beauty of any Bethesda games.
But I prefer Fallout 3. Why? I love retro stuff, and Fallout is full of retro stuff.

Re: Bethesda pole
Oblivion's my favorite because of the nostalgia, but Morrowind is the best.
The sudden realization that Bethesda have only made one really good game.

Re: Bethesda poll
My favourite would have to be Morrowind. Bethesda has changed throughout its time as a studio (by which I mean changed quite literally, with different employees moving in and out), and I feel that the Morrowind team was comprised of a group of developers who had some fantastic ideas and design philosophies and the ability to realise those ideas in keeping with their philosophies relatively well.
The TES franchise outshines the Fallout franchise when it comes to Bethesda titles simply because I feel that Bethesda does TES better. I have found immense enjoyment in both series, but there's something to be said for the wat that Bethesda has grown alongside The Elder Scrolls.
Picking up on Kerr's point, New Vegas wasn't developed by Bethesda, so it might be worth excluding from the poll. Just a thought.
Also, I don't want to be 'that guy' (or an ass), but would it be possible to rename this so that it reads as 'Bethesda poll'. I assumed that that is what it was, but I was still confused until I actually viewed the thread. Not a big deal, I don't mean to cause embarrassment or anything of the sort

Re: Bethesda pole
fallout 3 ... clearing ferals and glowing ghouls out of the Dunwich building at low level with a broken auto shotty and 6 mines, whilst listening to the ink spots is a generation defining experience for my single player rp gaming over the last decade.
the premise, the main story, the music, were all bang on target, it had limitations compared with TES but they weren't weaknesses by any means
perfect

Oblivion is the "gateway" drug, and Skyrim is the Candy.

Re: Bethesda poll
Morrowind, first TES game, and a great time sink as a kid.
Surprised the Fallout games have gotten as many votes, since this is an Elder Scrolls site...Not sure if I'd count New Vegas, as it was just published by Bethesda.

Re: Bethesda poll
I voted Fallout 3. I would choose Morrowind as my favorite Elder Scrolls game though. Morrowind was the first ES game I played, had the most vast world and I was still a kid, so my imagination soared there. I love the world in Oblivion, it is definitely the most vibrant and beautiful. And I love the atmosphere of Skyrim, the Nords, the fellowship and honor. I loved the creepy retro feel of Fallout 3, shooting a bow in ES games isn't nearly as awesome as some of the weapons Fallout 3 has. I love the storyline, the apocalyptic world setting.. The chaos is exciting. I haven't played fallout 3 since last summer and was burnt out on it, but it will be awesome when I get back into it. Fallout New vegas wasnt quite as good although I loved the cowboy/western feel of it.
