How do you put things in a display case?

open case

pull an item out of your inventory

Hold Z and mouselook to place the item in the case

close case

admire your new display case full of stuff you found on dead bodies.

And if you want to lock it, use the console and type "lock [1-100]" (without quotes, and one number between 1 and 100 to decide the lock difficulty)

You could also drop the item and use telecinices to put thing in them. I never heard of holding LB. Im goin to try that when I get home. Much quicker and organized Im guessing.

It is still quite hard to really organize things nicely. I took a few days for decorating Rosethorn Hall with just about every artifact that there is in the game.

I've heard that there is a mod if you're on PC that will allow you to have neat bookshelves. But if you have lots and lots of patience, it can be done.
