Selling magic items and soulgems?

Well, according to notes in the wiki and in game notes by the mages guild in game, I should be able to sell soul gems and magical items. However, when I go to speak with the person who sells magical items, I get two options: Talk and Buy Magic Items. How on earth am I supposed to sell things to this guy? The same goes for "buy/sell soul gems" in the wiki. I can only buy from.. say, tha dark brotherhood or whichever temple sells them.

You can buy and sell from the alchemists in the mages guild halls. At least the soul gems. I don't think they buy or sell enchanted items. You have to go to other merchants for that.

I think you may be confusing Daggerfall with one of the other Elder Scrolls games. To my knowledge, there are no alchemists in the Mages Guilds of Daggerfall, and they most certainly do sell magic items and soul gems.

Still the problem remains, I can't sell magic items or soul gems to them, as I only have the "buy" option when speaking to the merchant.

Never figured out how to sell soul gems, but you can sell magic items at any place that would buy the normal item.

Ie.... magic swords sell to an armorer/weaponsmith.

Magic Icons to a pawnshop, etc.
