What are you wearing, what are you wielding?
I am wearing Elven gilded armour (just bought), thieves guild gloves, leather boots of hauling (I want to wear other boots but im such a hoarder) and a hide helmet of major magicka.
Jewellery - ring of destruction and Savos Aren's amulet.
I am wielding the Mace of Molag Bal and primarily a fireball spell (sometimes an Elven shield of magic suppression).
That's it! What plain or fancy pants stuff are you guys wearing and wielding?

Chitin Armor
Nordic Sword
Chain Lightning
Mage Hood(the name of the unenchanted hood thieves wear on the roads)
Amulet of Talos
Ring of Eminent Destruction(my own version with 50% spell reduction)
I don't really like using enchanted gear that much. Only for Destruction spell reduction.

Black Robes
Shrouded Hand Wraps
Shrouded Hood
Shrouded Shoes
Imperial Sword and Ancient Nord War Axe
Tempted to try black robes with ebony gauntlets and boots to see if it blends well for that Nazgulish look.

Re: What are you wearing, what are you wielding?
Ive always wondered how you can not get annihilated when wearing mages robes due to the zero armour rating. Do you cast stoneflesh sort of spells or something?

I take a painful amount of care to not get hit
When out on the walk in Skyrim a single sabercat bite on master seems to kill me 100% of the time and I get such a thrill from them chasing me, even ice wolves are lethal on the ambush but to me that is how it should be and I refuse to put a point into my health.
Edit: oh and I use no spells.

Ah, a brave warrior indeed!
I am unfortunately no such thing. Load up on the light armour and sneak around, crapping myself if the eye starts to open...
Edit... No spells? No spells? Are you yanking my chain? The only thing that keeps me from an anxiety attack is the hope of finishing off an enemy before its even reached me! Lol

Main Nord Jenessa
Tank
Ebony Helmet with Fortify Archery
Dragonplate Gauntlets with Fortify One-handed
Ebony Armor with Fortify Healing Rate
Muffled Ebony Boots
Ring of Peerless Wielding
The Gauldur Amulet
Spellbreaker
Ebony Mace (Fire Damage)
Ebony Bow (Fire Damage)
Demon's Scimitar (Fiery Soul Trap)
I'm making her legendary, but goddamn she was way too OP for level 60.
Bosmer Gildii
Archer
Nightingale Armor set
Silver Garnet Ring with Fortify Archery
Gauldur Amulet fragment (Health)
Glass Shield with Fortify Block
Nightingale Bow
Nightingale Blade
Ebony Sword (Paralyze)
some fire soul trap weapon
Ebony Bow with some random enchantment
There's also my mage and my orc, and Joldi, my Nord Huntsman, but with the exception of my mage they are still developing so I cant recall their sets so easily.

Re: What are you wearing, what are you wielding?
Vulom Staadnau wears the Lustmord Vampire Armor, along with the jewelry from the mod, the clamps from HN66's Earrings, and the Vicious Bloodstone Earrings from Ultimate Assortment by Favoredsoul. Oh, and the sabatons from the Black Sacrament armor, along with a circlet from another mod. All gear is heavily enchanted (same goes for all characters).
She wields the Lustmord Crossbow, and the Ancient Black Sacrament Ninjato from Arise - Chapter 1 - The Black Sacrament. Both weapons are enchanted for chaos damage and soul trap. In her off hand, she wields a spell (usually Incinerate, Thunderbolt, Icy Spear, or Dread Zombie).
Vara Rydilis wears essentially the same thing, except for the earrings and the veil.
She also wields the Ninjato, but in her off hand, she has the tanto.
Hunts-With-Fury wears the Black Sacrament armor (usually one of the darker ones) and wields two "replica" Nightingale blades, and a "replica" Nightingale bow.
From-Blackest-Reaches wears the same thing as Hunts-With-Fury, but she wields the same weapons as Vara Rydilis (and will also frequently switch to using spells, depending on her mood).

Re: What are you wearing, what are you wielding?
My recently retired Breton witch, Sylvaine Emrys, wore a Robe of Replenishing and a modded Forsworn headdress + Morokei with plain cloth gloves and shoes and a fur cloak from the Winter Is Coming mod, everything enchanted with fortify magicka + magicka regen and magic/elemental resistance; she hardly used weapons at all except for the Eye of Melka and the Staff of Hag's Wrath, but in dire straits she'd dual-wield Mehrunes' Razor and a selfmade ebony dagger named Moonreaver (chaos damage + silent moons enchant).
My newly restarted Bosmer archer, Marilyn (II), presently has to make do with miner's clothes, ragged boots, an iron sword and dagger and an ancient Nord bow, but in her previous vampiric incarnation she used to switch between two sets: vampire royal armour, a vampire hood (the kind Serana wears) and vampire gauntlets and boots at home and when travelling in the cold north, and a full set of Ranger armour from Immersive Armors in towns and everywhere else, both combined with a wolf fur cloak and enchanted the hell out of (mostly with fortify archery, fortify one-handed, stamina/health regeneration and muffle); she wielded Auriel's bow with dragonbone arrows, a Daedric katana named Lovebite (frost + fiery soultrap) and a Daedric wakizashi named Marilyn's Kiss (shock + fiery soultrap).

My Death Knight is wearing Ebony gauntlets, Ebony Boots, Ebony Mail and Nahkriin. She uses a Dragonbone Sword in one hand with a conjuration or destruction spell in the other.
My other character wears a full set of Shrouded Armour with a pair of daedric daggers.

Re: What are you wearing, what are you wielding?
Since the vast majority of my characters are female and go light armor with duel wielding I tend to go with the following set ups.
First starting out, Imperial Light armor, Iron/Steele/Imperial sword and dagger with a Long/Hunting/Imperial bow tossed in.
Next step is generally either a Leather armor set with Skyforge sword and dagger with a Imperial bow.
If I am in a Vanilla mode I tend to go with either Elven or maybe Glass armor next.
I have aMidian Book of Silence and Killerkeo's armor packs installed for high res textures and the skimpy look. Yeah yeah, I'm a guy and its my Fantasy game so just hush.
For a change of pace I have several mods installed for different looks, which ever mood I am in at the time.
Schwertleite, Silverlight, and Lady Templar armor sets. For the Bling effect, (jewelry, weapons with glowing effects, etc) I have Favoredsouls Ultimate Assortment. I also have the Temptress Race installed and it has a armor set included. If you want to look like Lara Croft from Tomb Raider you might want to give it a look. Shorts, shirt with bare midriff, boots, leg and arm straps, and your choice of gloves. You can even add in a sash in either grey, red, blue or black.
Since I have some really nice hair mods I do not use helmets. Instead I craft up a circlet of some type with some armor rating on it from KDCirclets redone by ZZJay. I can go plain or get fancy as the mood strikes me.
Since I do not like messing around with soul gems and recharging weapons all the time I tend to stick with Skyforge weapons I can craft via Skyforge Weapons mod, it adds a variation for each of the different materials in game. I also have Skyforge Shields mod for my followers that use shields.
As I mentioned I tend to play female characters. Probably the major reason is the look and I freely admit it. The secondary reason is that about all the male light armor variations have no pants, (Fur, Hide, Leather, Imperial, Studded, and the like), you end up looking like a lost Scotsman in a kilt freezing important body parts off in the snow. Those that do have pants, Glass and Elven, you can't get until you have leveled up a ways or done a long quest line for the best varitions(Thieves/Nightingale and DB sets). Sure I could use heavy armor and get some pants but I really really dislike the carrying capacity hit you take with heavy armor, less loot I can haul out of dungeons.
Oh and for those that like and use the Nightingale set I highly recommend the Nightingale Prime HD texture replacer mod. It's available on the Nexus again, along with all the other mods I mentioned. You can find some of these mods on Steam if you prefer but not all of them.

Wolf Armor. I had no idea, NO IDEA you could get that armor off Skjiior's (whatever his name is) body.

Lol. It would just be wrong not have the whole set!
It would be funny if you had all that ebony...and then a pair of leather gloves.

I tend to gear up according to what missions I'm doing.
For example if I do Imperial/Stormcloak missions: Imerial/stormcloak armor; Dark Brotherhood: Shrouded stuff etc.
When roaming around: Nightingale all the way, armor and weapons
