Hi there.
Serana and I just went to Forebears' Holdout to get Dexion. I don't know how or why, but he was not trapped inside the magic barrier like he should have been (A vampire was, though). He is stuck in hostile mode. I still managed to have a reasonable conversation with him; he was glad that I had come to rescue him and he agreed to go to Fort Dawnguard.
I hoped this glitch/bug/whatever would sort itself out when I went back to FD, but unfortunately that did not happen. Dexion was there, all right, but he still had the temper of a rabid dog. He attacks everybody, and of course, the entire Dawnguard goes mental. Dexion goes down on his knees, everybody calms down for a minute, and then Dexion attacks again. Back and forth.......
This makes it impossible to finish "Prophet" and start "Chasing Echoes". Are there any console commands that can help me here? I'm gonna be just a little "disappointed" if I have to abandon this game at level 53....
(I was stupid enough not to reload a previous save; I figured this would sort itself out once we all left the holdout. The auto-saves are all overwritten.)

You could try clicking on him and using the console code "recycleactor" it resets the actor to their default state. Or you could try "resetAI".

Using the console code "recycleactor" did the trick; I also had to use it on the vampire stuck inside the magic barrier, though. Dexion would escape the barrier again as long as the vampire was stuck inside it.
I loaded a manual save I made inside the Holdout just before the bug occured. The reason I couldn't use this save as a "reload a previous save" was that the bug/glitch occured two seconds after the save was loaded. It seems like it was crucial to use the "recycleactor" on both Dexion and the vampire stuck inside the barrier _before_ the objective was updated to "Speak to the Moth Priest". This is what I did:
1. Reloaded the save. The bug/glitch occured like usual (Dexion escapes the barrier and a vampire gets stuck inside). I sprinted up to the barrier anyway, opened the console, clicked on Dexion (and made his ID "active"(?)).
2. Reloaded the save again, opened the console before the bug/glitch occured, and used the console command "recycleactor". This put Dexion inside the barrier, but only delayed the bug/glitch. I then sprinted up to the barrier, opened the console again, clicked on the vampire stuck inside the barrier before Dexion escaped the barrier again, and used the console command "recycleactor". This put the vampire outside the barrier and everything went smoothly from there.
All hail Musicman247; without his help 58 hours of gameplay would have gone to waste!

Known bug - casting a calm spell worked for me when it happened, although he never fixed himself properly for the rest of that character's game.
ETA - glad it's sorted. Makes the questline a pain if it carries on...
