I have no idea if I'm doing the right thing in making a topic about it, but how do I get a denocking arrows mod and get it to work? I've downloaded multiple versions of the mod, and the English one didn't have a readme or any instructions to it, so I just moved it to the data file in the Oblivion folder, started up Oblivion, activated it, and entered the game. However, as far as I can tell, it does nothing, I can't denock the arrows no matter what I click or which button I press, I've tried all of them.
I didn't even care about the arrow system before, but once I read about the mod and what it's supposed to do, I don't think I can use a bow without it. I even made a character designed to be an archer based on the assumption that the mod would work, but I got into the tutorial, got the bow, tried everything, and there's nothing I can do to not shoot the arrow.
Edit: It seems no mods are working, I downloaded a harvest mod that's supposed to simply change what ingredients look like when harvested. Instead it gets rid of the ingredients altogether and replaces them with a big yellow light. I had no problem using mods before when I played. Is using them with steam supposed to be really different?

Re: Denocking arrows
Dunno a thing about the mods, but there is an in-game method to de-nock an arrow: you will have to level Acrobatics up past 50 and gain the Dodge ability.
If you Dodge with a drawn bow, the arrow goes back into your inventory. Poison and magic charge are preserved as well.
There is a sound of an arrow shooting off, but no shot is actually made (the arrow doesn't fly, no one gets hit). I first stumbled on this when I thought "Wouldn't it be cool to shoot and dodge sideways in one smooth motion?"

Baurus: Our job is to get the Emperor out of situations like this. Though I'll admit, things aren't going exactly to plan.
Casandra: At the moment, the deadliest weapon at my disposal is a goblin's head on a stick. I'd be worried if this was the plan.
