Expansions Skyrim

Post by Blackbird »

Hey guys,

I am about to purchase the Hearthfire, Dragonborn and Dawnguard add-ons, but are they really worth buying? What are your personal experiences - do they really give you some interesting extra gameplay, lore and items or is it just more of the same?

I bought Dawnguard and i think it was worth the money. it's not the largest DLC, but the content it adds is much more satisfying than most of the content that was already in Skyrim.

at least, that was my 'personal experience' of it.

To be honest I actually quite enjoyed Hearthfire, considering its the cheapest of the three I think its worth buying.
I'm on my way to Windhelm to join up with the Stormcloaks, Ulfric has the right of it!

Yeah, they're worth getting. Personally I recommend just picking up the Legendary Edition.

All three of them are amazing. The one that surprise me the most is Dawnguard. At first I felt pessimistic about the whole vampire storyline, but DLC itself has a lot of contents that I don't really care much about the vampire bit.

Hearthfire is great as well, because I can finally live in a house that is not fully packed with useless junks. I like houses with less decoration more vacant spaces (but of course you can always furnish the hearthfire houses with all decorations they provided).

Hearthfire is cool.

I havn't played much of Dawnguard, so can't comment.

Dragonborn is AMAZING.

Thanks for the replies everyone :D! Looks like everyone is positive about the add-ons. I bought all of the expansions, since I don't buy games very often.

I like them quite a bit, Dragonborn being the best.
