Scripting issues (FO3 GECK)

Post by Dan-Ru »

I didn't know where else to put this thread so this'll do. As the title suggests, this is related to Fallout 3's GECK.

The basic outcome I'm after is a door that only operates when it's linked reference (in this case, a switch) is activated. I've already figured out how to link ref's as well as getting said door to say "This door is activated elsewhere" what I can't seem to get right is the next part of the script that forces the reference door to change it's state (open or shut) when the switch is activated.

At the moment it's going one way or the other, either the door will just show the message, or it will open like any other door, instead of how I intended. I've tried scripting it on both ends but I think I'm just missing an important segment.

If someone does happen to know the specific segment I need, or better yet, provide me with the simplest (complete) script to accomplish the desired outcome, so I can just add the ID's, that'd be fantastic.

Been at this for hours, it's the only thing I can't seem to get working.
