The 'What creepy things have happened to you?' Thread

Under the command of Musicman, I have conjured this thread to talk about super creepy things that have happened during our daily lives.

Repost from the general thread. This morning I was searching the forums with my back towards the tv and I was hearing laugh tracks. I turn around to see what show is overdoing it with the laugh track button and find that the tv is off.

So one night when I was in my early twenties my sister and I were the only ones in my parent's house. I went into my parents' bedroom to check on something (I think I was checking on our cat, who liked to sleep on their bed). The three bedrooms in the house were all in one hallway, with my sister's door being the closest to my parents' and mine at the end of the short hall.

As I was walking toward the door I saw a girl in a pink flowery robe pass by and keep going into my sister's room. I thought nothing of it, since she was about the same height as my sister and had the same hair color. I figure she was just going to get something from her room before we started the movie we were going to watch. I walk through the kitchen and into the living room and stop dead in my tracks. My sister was sitting on the couch in shorts and a t-shirt.

I just stared at her for what seemed like minutes. She looked at me and said, "What?" I asked if she had gone to her room. She said she hadn't. I told her what I saw and a tear fell from her scared-looking eye.

I went back to her room and looked around, but nobody was there. I asked my mom about it later and she said that she had seen people walking through the hallway before as well, so had my sister. I never had another experience like that, but once was enough for me. I can still vividly see the robe and the dark hair of the girl I saw. The girl that wasn't there.

I used to see a large, wooly, black dog sprint around corners ahead of me. He was never there when I poked my head around the corner.

When I was little, I use to have a bunk bed>_> I slept at the top and the bottom turned into a couch.
Well every now and then I would wake up in the morning.. on the floor..
Didn't help that I never picked up my toys.. but I would just climb back up and go to bed.. spooky

Why would I imagine something like that? I had never seen a robe like that, and I wasn't even thinking about my sister at the time.

I wasn't thinking about dogs whenever that happened, and I've never seen a big that big or wooly. The subconscious is a weird thing.

As for creepy stories, I don't really think I have any to tell... Dammit, I want spiritual goings-on in my life too.

I remember when I was sitting in my parents room when I was maybe 11 or 12, it was raining and storming outside. My best friend at the time was with me and we both looked into the mirror of my parents entertainment center and saw a clown face in the window behind us and looked back to see something suck around the corner of the house. Which is why I'm scared of clowns.

I was walking in a public wildlife park with a friend once. We were just minding our own business, talking about junk and stuff (we were in Jr. high) when all of a sudden all the birds stopped chirping. We stopped talking because it was weird. Then we heard a super loud CRACK in the woods to our right. We screamed and took off running back the way we came.

I once was out hunting coyotes with my cousin in the middle of the night and its routine to see a reflection. Usually reflections, which are eyes, are on the ground and probably a rabbit or something like that. This time, however, a pair of reflections about 6 or 7 feet above the ground is out in the middle of a field. To this day, I have no idea what it was, seeing as there wasn't a tree for 100 yards or so.

When I was 15 a 30-40 year old american woman winked at me in a store.
It was pretty creepy.

Back when I was in primary school, we had a little school event during the World Cup in 2010. My year (6) and the year below us formed up and made the England flag which was only viewable from bird's eye view, so a helicopter flew over us and took pictures. Later, we all sat down on the field and the pilot talked to us about the helicopter and his job. It was all going well and good, untill I looked over to one of the gates in the distance (the school was really large) and saw a black figure standing behind it.

Me and at least 3 of my friends saw it. It was just... standing there. We looked at eachother, and then back at it and it was gone. We never saw it or heard of it ever again.

Not really creepy, but I remember one Christmas morning when I was about 6, I looked out the window and saw a single, red point of light slowly move across the sky; I was nowhere near an airport.

I've got several more, but I want to give other people a chance to chime in.

Along those same lines, Taters, I once saw a lunar eclipse that was very strange. The shadow slowly covered the moon, moving from left to right, then moments later the shadow left the same way it had come in, from right to left. I was on the phone with one of my friends at the time. He saw it too. We were convinced the world was about to end.

Alright, I have worked at a Nursing home for close to 4 years now, this home is right next to a cemetery.

So two years ago I had been working in the kitchen at night and went out to bus one of the dining rooms, finishing in a few minutes and turning back to head into the kitchen.
As I came to the kitchen door, I found myself turning around because I heard something akin to wet boot falls and the sight of an 8 foot tall dark, faceless man in a coat; the ceiling has a clearance of seven and a half feet. I became dizzy and my vision blurred, suddenly turning around and continuing on with my work and heading home without incident.

I awoke screaming in the night as I remembered what had happened to me, the memory seemingly repressed until then.

Mmm, normally these kind of things are nice old people or some weird animal thing (I have a small spot in my house that turns ice cold during a certain summer month where/when one of my cats died or the white hair of another show up randomly despite not having any light furred animals currently..but she was a very dirty cat and her hair got everywhere...)

Fun Chaos fact: Outside of animals, all my...'hallucinations' have been people I don't know or never met with only one being actually related to me who died when my mother was young

Very strange.

I've had a couple instances of seeing cats that weren't there. There was even a time when I was in bed about to go to sleep when I felt a cat jump on the bed. I looked and nothing was there.
