Hello Tech Desk people ,
I recently found my old Sega Game Gear and not surprisingly the screen is in pretty bad shape and I cannot see the game at all. So after doing some research I found out this is most likely due to bad capacitors in the handheld. I have researched how to replace the capacitors and I even found a kit that provides everything. Replacing the capacitors does not seem difficult and I do have some experience soldering but I was wondering if anyone on my favorite forums has done this before. How difficult was it for you and did replacing the capacitors work?

Thanks for the tip! The kit I found comes with instructions on how to make sure the capacitors are orientated correctly. I'll be sure to post some info when I finish repairing it.
