Favorite Weapon(s)
What is/are your favorite weapon(s) (un-modded)?
The two I keep on me are Dragonbane (for dragons) and Chillrend (for pretty much everyone else). The extra 40 damage I get per swing on a dragon is kinda stupid, plus the extra shock damage. And when using Chillrend on other enemies, if I'm not "freezing" them, then I'm at least slowing their melee against me.

Re: Favorite Weapon(s)
Normally, I carry at least one sword or mace even if I'm playing a mage type character. That said, I love the dragonbone sword, daedric sword, nordic sword and ebony mace. I don't really have anything against two handed weapons but I don't really like them, too clunky.

Re: Favorite Weapon(s)
The dwarven crossbow recently became my favorite, i just love the *thunk* sound it makes, far more satisfying than a bow it really feels like its got some stopping power.
I also like the ebony war axe, its probably the best looking waraxe in the game. The blade of woe was another favorite although i was pretty annoyed at how nerfed daggers were in skyrim.

Favorite general weapon to use is bows. I love those things.
My favorite weapon over all is Dawnbreaker, but I suspect a lot of people love that.

Re: Favorite Weapon(s)
Unmodded? Blast, I don't think I actually use any unmodded weapons.
I suppose my favorite weapon has to be Miraak's Sword then... Unless official DLCs count as a mod?
In that case... Nope, nothing. I just don't like most of the vanilla weapons. I suppose the only nice ones are the Nightingale Bow and Blade. Even then I don't use them (they're more display weapons than anything; I prefer using weapons with custom enchantments).

Re: Favorite Weapon(s)
I love bows as well, preferably the crossbow. I like enchanting them with fire...because I like to see things burn to a crisp. Next be the daedric sword because every gal likes wielding a fierce weapon like a BA.
Re: Favorite Weapon(s)
Dawnbreaker is one of my favorites as well. I like using it with fire in my other hand. I just the arcane enchanter perk so I've upgraded it.Witchery wrote:Favorite general weapon to use is bows. I love those things.

Official DLCs count not as mods.
Auriel's bow is a very nice piece of hardware to carry, especially with Hallowed arrows.

I like the Nordic weapons, the drwarven crossbow, and the longbow, I just love the way that it looks, but sadly, its so extremely weak.

Re: Favorite Weapon(s)
I like me some Dwarven Crossbow.
In between the lines there's a lot of obscurity.
I'm not inclined to resign to maturity.
If it's alright, then you're all wrong.
But why bounce around to the same damn song?

Nordic bow and sword, Auriel's Bow, Dwarven Black Bow, Blade of Woe, Mehrune's Razor, Miraak's Sword, Nord Hero bow, uhhh I'm sure there's more but I haven't played in months.
Re: Favorite Weapon(s)
Windshear is the best sword in the game.
It's a scimtar, and while only having 11 base damage, it offers 100% stagger per strike(on any enemy) and a 30% chance of paralyze when you use bash.

Re: Favorite Weapon(s)
Mmm, begins to debate between favorite and most used.. I wanna say Auriel's bow but the enchantment always runs out and I only use it for the draw speed... and I can't pick one I never use just because it's powerful..
I gotta stick with either dawnbreaker or runed dawnguard axe.. especially when combo-ed.
As for funnest.. hands down ebony blade. Goes on a massacre in the city... never dies so long as I hit someone=_=
Edit: That aside, I always use a dragonbone sword and auriel's bow most of the time, adding or switching between the rune axe or dawn breaker when needed

Has anyone experimented with the Bloodscythe/Soulrend + Deathbrand combo? Surprised no one's mentioned it, yet.

Re: Favorite Weapon(s)
Bound Bow - It weighs nothing, does decent amount of damage, can't be disarmed in the lower levels, and it comes with daedric arrows that enemy archers can't pick up and use against you.
But mainly I use it because I love the looks, and it feels more right when the weapon disappears in 3rd person view. (Rather than a physical bow that just vanishes because you had to equip something else)

Scimitars and Ebony war axes. Other than that, bows. Currently using a glass bow, but I'm starting to find better gear.

Re: Favorite Weapon(s)
my legendary ebony sword
i also have a legendary 2-handed dragonbone sword with chaos damage (15points) which also does the trick
i tend to like my own smithed equipment more than the found loot and artifacts

Re: Favorite Weapon(s)
Depends on the RP. The grand majority of my builds only use one or two weapons at max and never reuse another RPs weapon/armor etc. I'm currently having fun with the Bloodskal Blade on my gladiator who rocks the Mask of Clavicus Vile and the Scaled Horn Armor. Still waiting for the inevitable arena DLC.

yeah I love the bound bow, it was one of my witchhunter Lysander van garrets favorite weapons along with the dwarven crossbow.PhanttoM wrote:Bound Bow - It weighs nothing, does decent amount of damage, can't be disarmed in the lower levels, and it comes with daedric arrows that enemy archers can't pick up and use against you.

Re: Favorite Weapon(s)
When playing a vampire, my favorite weapon is Auriel's Bow. The hilarity of blotting out the sun and watching the townsfolk soil themselves never gets old.
Otherwise, my favorite weapon is the Mace Of Molag Bal. Not a fan of Mollykins by any stretch of the imagination, but I am a big fan of powerful, useful weapons that are easily attainable as early as level 2.
