Guild Concept: Cult of the Three-Dog (Name Not Finalized)

Post by Piffinatour »

This Guild would be for Role-Players, or at least people who aren't afraid to do a little Role-Playing.

This Guild worships a Cerberus-Like God (possibly Daedric in influence), which is represented as a Three-Headed Dog/Wolf. This beast would be the center of the Mythos that the Guild will follow (Still have to work on specific aspects of Religious Back Story).

Really, the point of this guild, and the reason behind the 'Cerberus-like God' is a reference/homage to one of Bethesda's other series, the Fallout series. In particular, Fallout 3, where a character named 'Three Dog' ran a radio station in the Capital Wasteland. One of Three Dog's catchphrases (and his most popular, in my opinion) was his 'howl', which is now pretty much synonymous with Three Dog, and Fallout 3 all together.

The play-in would be, possibly, like a 'secret handshake'-type interaction between Guild members, in which they say, "Three Dog, OOWWWWWWWWWW!!". A play on the signature Howl could even be made, by the Guild leader dismissing members after a Guild meeting by shouting, "Three Dog, OUUUT!".

Either way, this idea seems really fun to me. If only I was a better Leader (Past experiences with MMOs show that I am not a good Guild Leader) I would form this guild wholly by myself. However, as I previously stated, I am not, and therefore hope someone sees this post and decides to carry on the Three Dog idea, even if it isn't a 'cult', or based on my more minute ideas and details; as long as there is a Fallout reference, I would be content.

(Note: I chose to come up with a Fallout Reference because a TES reference would be illogical. The current TES games all take place after the events of ESO, and therefore would not fit, as 'seeing the future' is not a thing TES usually dabbles with. Fallout, however, is a completely different series, and therefore would not disrupt the Flow of Lore based on already cemented events/facts.)
