What's In A Username?
There used to be a thread like this but it got old and moldy and moved to archives.
Thus the need to start anew!
What is your current username (you can also mention previous ones if you'd like) and why did you choose it? What significance does it hold for you? What secrets lie buried in you pa-...no, wait, that's for that other thread.
My username is Musicman247. I picked it because I am a lover of music, both listening and performing, and am that way 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Re: What's In A Username?
I threw together letters til I ended up with Deandra, which is a pretty red-orange color to me, like this little round tumbled crystalline rock I had as a child that I treasured. I used to think it was carnelian, but now I'm pretty sure it was dyed quartz.

Re: What's In A Username?
I picked Believe, because it is the title of a... poem I suppose you would call it..
This "poem" is written acroos the booklet of a cd I have, and is one of the most inspirational things I have ever read.
I even typed it up, and have it stuck on my wall. It's strangely difficult to understand, but for some reason it makes me feel empowered whenever I read it.
The other username I contemplated using was "Creator Of All"
Which is my Xbox Live username. I got that from having a giant ego and trying to convince people that I am actually God.
Hence why I DIDN'T pick it for this forum... I would have been torn to shreds.

Re: What's In A Username?
ZeRoc, what could have inspired such a profound name some may ask.
"But no one is asking!"
Well too bad.
The origins of my name come from roughly 5th grade, when I got Guild Wars. I was pressed for a name, and being the very creative soul I was back then, I made a Ranger, and named him Ranger Roc. (Alliteration for the win.) I eventually started signing up for different websites, so for a name I went with Roc, except I ran into a problem, most websites need you to have 5 letters, not just 3. So I decided that I will do something amazing, add a "Ze" in front of it. With this new addition of almost French flair, I came into the internet and have made a name for myself... here... I'm no longer active at any other websites that I signed up as ZeRoc at.
It helps that ZeRoc, when said fast, sounds an awful lot like Zach.
Now some may ask why I decided to post this using this manner of writing.
"Still no one is asking!"
Well, the answer is, I don't know.

Gideon Dragontongue because:
1. Gideon is an awesome name.
2. Gideon is not actually my name (*gasp*)
3. I've been a bard called Gideon Dragontongue since Morrowind.
4. See #1.

Re: What's In A Username?
I've told this story several times, but hey new thread, new people, new ears (eyes I suppose) and all that.
The year was 2002, mid November. My aunt had just gotten me my birthday present, which happened to be Morrowind. She was told by the guy at the store that it was supposed to be one of the best games of the year and that I should love it. Well, I had never played a game like this before, but I popped the disc in my Xbox and gave it a go. After making my very first Imperial, I began wondering around the town when I saw what was surely my first enemy. So I did what any normal person would do; I charged in. Three swings of my trusty little iron dagger, and not a single hit. Meanwhile, that little white [&@%!] had paralyzed me. Suddenly I'm down to a quarter of my health. Well no problem, its the first enemy, this should be easy. But it wasn't and I died. Hadn't even saved my game.
Well no big deal, I tried again. Remade my character etc etc. This time I went the other way and found myself at a little farmhouse (would later find out it was near Vivec but thats besides the point). Well it was one farmer, and he wasn't even wearing a shirt, so surely I could kill him and take all his stuff? Imagine my surprise when he pulled out a claymore and destroyed me in two hits. I've been playing the game for hardly 20 minutes and I've died twice. So I try one more time, opting again for the little ant like thing, only to die yet again, this time because there were 2 of the [&@%!].
I put the game away for months until one day I tried it out again, and got the hang of it. I always went out of my way to deal death to the scribs as I found out they were called, and 5 years later when I finally joined these forums, the name seemed natural. I am scribbane, bane of scribs, and always shall be. When the day comes that scribs are in a future ES game, you can be sure that I will be there to slay them again.
And that kids, is the story ofHow I Met Your Mother why I am called scribbane.

Re: What's In A Username?
I was eleven, and signing up for Neopets. For some reason, after thinking in my little eleven-year-old brain for a long time, I decided upon 'neverstar'.
Later, that account was hacked, so I made a new one under the username 'nevastar'
I have signed up to almost everything under that name since, and I honestly can't say why.

I named my first proper Oblivion character Leilah, because I like the name. Then I picked it for my username here. Yeah.

Re: What's In A Username?
The British Flag is called the 'Union Jack'. I replaced 'Jack' with 'Hack' and made it one word; hence, Unionhack.
It's a really good username and I really like it. I use it for just about everything and it's usually not taken.

Re: What's In A Username?
This might be true or might be bollocks.
It's a long story basically my first (proper) Skyrim character was a female nord called Rima Stormborn (I chose Stormborn as I was reading GRRM - Song of Ice & Fire at the time, I meant to chose Riva in honour of David Eddings - Belgariad but misspelt it as Rima which I think sounds better anyway) when I joined the forum I need a username and chose stormborn as it all seemed to fit. Unfortnatley, I killed off that character in March when I got bored with Skyrim and needed a break from it. When I got back into Skyrim in June I created a new character a male Nord called Njal Stormborn cousin of my first previous character he alas is also dead at which point I left the forums, intentionally for good as I got tired of trying to fit in but then I came back after 3 weeks because I lost interest in everything else.
