Changes in the Moderator Team

This week we are returning to UESP some of its moderators without the green coins and the worries and responsibilities that come with them. I hope everyone will join me in taking a moment to congratulate and thank Generalno1 and The Tom for their excellent work on the moderator team the last few years. It is not an easy position to volunteer your time for and it takes a special person to wear the pink and green coins. Both brought a great sense of humor to the moderator team, and their ideas will live on!

Once a Greenie, always a Greenie. Thank you two very much for your time...and for putting up with me.

You guys were the first people from outside the US that I ever talked to. The first UESP Skype call featured Avron, Cam and Tom. The second one saw both of you guys on. That was one of the coolest experiences for me, getting to actually talk with someone on the other side of tha world. I thought you were both as cool as hell. Still do.

Thank you for your years of service, without which UESP wouldn't be the site that it is. I wish you both joy in the coming years and every good thing life can give you.

This is most unexpected news, and I'm both sad to see the two of you give up the green and glad that at least you're both sticking around the Forums.

General, although our first encounter was far from the most ideal of meetings, I feel it's important that I let you know that not only do I know that you acted both reasonably and appropriately in what was an unfortunate circumstance borne of miscommunication and misunderstanding, but that I have grown to like you plenty, have a great deal of respect for you and am glad to have got to know you a little better in the time since.

Tom, I remember when I first joined the UESP you were just a green name who I never saw around the place, but now, after meeting you, talking to you and seeing you about you've become, in my eyes, so much more. I'm especially thankful for the supportive manner in which you've always approached my queries and concerns and I just have to say, kudos for the refurbished and revitalised Forum Rules which we have you to thank for putting to paper.

Hope to see the two of you for many a time to come.

And as far as I can remember, I don't think I ever talked to General before he came back from his trip earlier this year.

Tom's been a Global for ages, much prior to either of us joining methinks Frosty. He did have a period of absence around the time I actually signed-up, but if you remember his appointment, it's from before you were a member, I would suppose.

I think we could use a bit more diversity as well. Someone find GUM!!! and make him a mod, he's Canadian. That should be a step in the right direction.
