In my opinion, amon amarth. Theyre all from norse lands, and all their music is about vikings and norse gods. Its good death metal lol but it fits skyrim perfectly. What do yall like to listen to?

It's the soundtrack.

The official game soundtrack. Jeremy Soule is simply the best composer for these kind of games. The music fits the atmosphere almost perfectly.

The original soundtrack, yes. Why would you swap great music like that with death metal...

Just the orginal soundtrack. What sounds best is the one that was developed for the game.

The soundtrack AND Amon Amarth. Both really put me in the mood for it.

The OST or some LOTR music. I prefer the OST but sometimes when I'm just doing random crap and not actually focusing on any quests, I'll turn on the LOTR sound track and try and act out things appropriate to the mood of the music.

One of my all time favorite moments in the game came quite recently when I attempted to partially reenact the charge of the Rohirim against the the Orcs at Minas Tirith. I led the Stormcloaks into battle against Whiterun by leading the charge on the back of Shadowmere. I had the Battle of the Pelennor Fields on loop while I shot many Imperials with my bow while still on Shadowmere. After I thought I had killed a sufficient amount of enemies to give the False hope of taking the city, I charged over to the nearest giant camp and lured a couple mammoths (oliphants) to the battle. We defeated the beasts and went in to finish off the rest of the city.

So much fun.

depends on my mood, sometimes i get tired of the combat music, i generally use two steps from hell as a fill in for the standard track

I swear there was another topic on this very subject a while ago.
Anyway I digress, when just walking around doing dragonborn stuff the game soundtrack is fIne and dandy but during fights dragonforce is definately my choice.

The thread on music while falmer hunting maybe?

I Just use the main soundtrack normally.

The Lonely Island.

Nothing beats pummeling Forsworn into dust whilst singing about Jack Sparrow.

NOW BACK TO THE GOOD PART!

yup i started it and it's still around

Skyrim is a whole different game when played to Tiny Tim.

Metal. Killing dragons to the sounds of Amon Amarth bring this game to a more epic scale. Demon Hunter, Drottnar, Vaakevandring and War of Ages also fit the setting very nicely. When exploring, I like something more soothing, some acoustic or folk metal. If I had to go with one band, I'd say Amon Amarth.

HAhAhAHA! Happy birthday to the ground! I threw the cake too! I ain't a part of this system! Welcome to the real world JACK ASS!

I was gonna suggest "Back dat ass up" HAHA But now we are just being silly. I like the game soundtrack but sometimes I will play something else for a couple songs and switch back. The Jeremy Soule's music is the best. It matches the game so well.

i played this when i was fighting 2 elder dragons and nakriin in skuldafn, it was worth looping http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gkhneh9J ... EBB8E7CBF0

Funny thing, that: When I reached that place for the first time, the dragons just sat there doing nothing, even if I attacked them.

they got up and attacked me when i used an ebony arrow to wake each of up, tho it may have been the ebony needles in their rumps more than my charming personality

Blackmore's Night, Loreena McKennit, and of course the original soundtrack are luffs.

RAMMSTEIN!, Iron maiden or Turisas. Nothing like germans yelling, songs about exploring and finnish folk metal while roaming the plains of Whiterun to the Mountains of Northern Skyrim

Are you familiar with Grobschnitt?

I just listen to the games soundtrack

Exactly. Nothing else fits it as well.

I'm necro-posting, so slap me.

The Rolling Stones' Gimme Shelter just seems to make anything and everything better.
