Tiber Septims ascension...
How exactly did it happen?
His lore page has no info on how, just stating he did.
that leaves many questions like; Does he have physical remains? Where did he become a god? What did it involve?
I have speculated, but with my poor knowledge on such things, its best I don't sound silly.

Re: Tiber Septims ascension...
If I recall correctly (and I'm probably wrong), the other gods were so impressed by his deeds that he made him a god.
...Yeah, I'm probably wrong.

The woods are lovely, dark and deep,
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

Re: Tiber Septims ascension...
I thought the only thing in Sancre Tor of Talos was his armour. I don't recall seeing any trace of his body.
The only named graves I remember seeing in that old ruin are those of the Reman dynasty emperors.
I also don't recall any reference to his apotheosis, unlike Arkay's which is well documented. Which is very interesting in the context of some groups claiming he became a god and others insisting that this was never so.

Look at Dervenin in SI. Look at him in Skyrim. Say no to drugs.

Re: Tiber Septims ascension...

Re: Tiber Septims ascension...
He has a sort of vault in Sancre Tor, which is an ancient holy hill with a fortress built into it. It's mostly for the Reman Emperors but Tiber's armor with his blood was buried there. It was an important part of his past since he recovered the Amulet of Kings from it when he assaulted the Breton and Nord forces there opposing the Cyrodill armies.Rynkar wrote:Its not really the remains I meant...does he have a coffin or tomb?
The sources of how and why he became a god vary, but they all mention that upon death he ascended. Some of the newer sources in Skyrim even word it as physically ascending into Aetherius, mirroring some real world religious beliefs.
As to whether or not he's actually a god, we meet an avatar of him in Morrowind, and his shrines give blessings..and his blood counts as the blood of a Divine. So take from that what you will. The Thalmor's logic and personal bias aside, it does seem the other Divines acknowledge him as one for whatever reason.
Monsters are bred in labyrinths, labyrinths are bred from walls. There is a reason the Giants choose to remain nomadic rather than follow their shield kin the Nords in building permanent settlements. The Tower is the beginning of all walls.

The armor was given to the blades, the blood on it isn't his only remains is it?
And could you link your sources? I read all over the wiki but nothing solid came up.

Re: Tiber Septims ascension...
The only thing I listed that wasn't from in-game events or dialogue from one of three ES titles was the claim he ascended to Aetherius, which was in a Skyrim game book about Dragons. The author calls the idea "far-fetched" though, but it's the most descriptive thing I've read about his ascension so far, rising up as he drinks in the souls of Dragons.Rynkar wrote:The armor was given to the blades, the blood on it isn't his only remains is it?

All the other things I mentioned aren't from books. They're just from in-game events. The avatar of Talos appears in the main quest of Morrowind, but he's an optional encounter at Ghost Gate and some players overlook him. He's an old man who gives you a lucky coin. Goes by the name of Wulf.
I don't know that he left any other physical remains. The armor was on top of a stone tomb, but it could have been empty. We don't know where Alessia's remains are for that matter, and she was similarly described to have been taken away by Akatosh at her death bed.
