Please note, this is sort of an experiment, so it might change as we go. So if you have any other questions you think would fit I'll add them. Obviously your welcome to discuss each others choices, heck, that might be half the fun of this.

Just for fun
You have found a way to make one wish (but no unlimited wishes). If you could wish the rules, powers etc. of one book/movie/game/anime etc. Which one would you wish to be real? Why? What would you do when you obtained those powers yourself? Would you use them for good, evil or to satisfy some other, neutral goal like enlightenment? Perhaps more importantly, would you wish the actual story and it's events to be real as well? If so, (or even if not) what would you do if you met someone with those same powers? If the literature/media of your choice has different races, which one would you make yourself?
Please note, this is sort of an experiment, so it might change as we go. So if you have any other questions you think would fit I'll add them. Obviously your welcome to discuss each others choices, heck, that might be half the fun of this.

I'd put the wish on hold, then write a book in which I was granted infinite wishes. Wish for that book's rules, and voila.

It would have to be the powers of Radiant Historia :3 To be able to sail through time and ultimately control the outcome of your destiny as well as that of the world around you. What would i do? I would travel back, relive my mistakes and my victories. I would go forward and relish in the happiness that i hope to achieve. I would use them, not to change the mistakes i made, but to influence them so that they become beautiful mistakes that i learn from; i would edit my victories so that i would remember them forever. The story and events? Absolutely. This game had some of the most beautiful and stunning plot and overall quality as a game that i have ever experienced. The sadness and the happiness would have to come hand in hand so that i could truly live though it. If i met someone with those same powers (Which would imply that they were similar to *Insert antagonist's name here*) I would endeavour to thwart whatever tragedy they wished to place on me and fight for a better tomorrow. As for what race...A Grannorgian royal

Re: Just for fun
I don't have a plethora of media or books I can choose from and it took me the night to decide on one that I knew. Ultimately it came down to Bleach or the Dragonball saga.
I decided on the Dragonball sagas this time, purely from a knowledge and strength standpoint. I would wish the entire storyline (and lore) of the sagas to life, altered slightly so I would be sent with Kakarot (Goku). Naturally that would mean I would be a saiyan too, I dare say I would follow Goku for the majority of the storyline for the first saga. I would pursue training and meditation in solitude - much like Picollo (although more akin to his late DBZ personality), rarely spending time with the characters of the sagas. Obviously the Dragon would become real as well, so I would collect the balls in order to wish myself younger (while still retaining my skills). This way, should I wish to die, Age can still come for me. Whether I would make my appearance in the events of the sagas, I'm not so sure. If I did however, It probably wouldn't be until just after cell announces the Cell Games.

I assume that was meant as a joke. I don't think I have to tell you the wish part of the OP is completely irrelevant to the thread.DorostheConqueror wrote:I'd put the wish on hold, then write a book in which I was granted infinite wishes. Wish for that book's rules, and voila.

Re: Just for fun
How so? Getting wishes is as valid an answer as any. I like a number of nerdy franchises, too, but if I have to choose between making one of them "come true" and hacking the system to gain infinite wishes, I'm going for the wishes.Dan-Ru wrote:I assume that was meant as a joke. Besides, once I've secured my bottomless pit o' dreams, I can simply go back and wish for the rules of any series I like, then change it up again whenever I get bored or start feeling pangs of guilt.

Well normally yes (though I imagine any wish that could result in more wishes would probably be a no go), but that isn't the intention of the thread. It is a "What piece of literature/media would you prefer to enact" thread (well that's the jist of it anyway). If you wanted a "what would you wish for (in general)" thread then we'd have to have another discussion entirely.DorostheConqueror wrote:How so? Getting wishes is as valid an answer as any. I considered Death Note myself actually. But, after much deliberation I found I wouldn't have any way to use it that wasn't wholly evil.

Re: Just for fun
I know, I know. That's why I'm saying I'd enact my own piece of literature, one which features a world in which I get unlimited wishes. That's the one I'd prefer, because hey, unlimited wishes.Dan-Ru wrote: Well normally yes (though I imagine any wish that could result in more wishes would probably be a no go), but that isn't the intention of the thread. If it had to be an established work of fiction, one which we didn't create ourselves, then I'd probably pick... none. I'd sit on the wish, for days, then weeks, then months, trying to decide which franchise I'd bring to life. Eventually, I'd get so stressed out by the magnitude of the choice, I'd give up completely and just go play some video games.
