I've played almost with 1500 save times, and this glitch concerning the save menu has appeared. Say I have 14 save-point (17 if we count the auto save), let's say my 12th ,13th and 14th save-point names are [Windpeak Inn] , [Dragonsreach] and [Sky Haven Temple] respectively. When I save the [Sky Heaven Temple] now supposedly it become my 1st save-point called [Honeyside] (I saved in Riften House-honeyside), so my 13th [Dragonsreach] save point has became my 14th save-point called [Dargonsreach], right ? Only, It isn't

My 13th save-point [Dragonsreach], which I didn't overwrite, become 14th [Sky Haven Temple] but its save content is that of [Dragonreach] save point. And that [Windpeak Inn] savepoint is named [Dragonsreach] with [Windpeak Inn] save content. This is up to 3 lowest save point. They are always called [Windpeak Inn], [Dragonsreach] and [Sky Haven Temple].

Does this merely a minor glitch or a sign of something more severe? Has any heavy PC players experienced any of this annoying issue ? Sorry for my bad English

note: I always disable Auto-Save. Don't know if this is supposed to be on Help or General but so far this is not quite a problem for me, I only find it annoying.

I'm confused by what the problem is exactly, are you trying to find why your saves are numbered in the way they are?

No, i think I know what you mean, happens to me as well. e.g. he wants to load his char in whiterun, but when he scrolls down, the game shows he is in windhelm. but after he loaded up, the char IS in whiterun.
this is just a minor glirch, nothing important (for me)

Lower the save limit count, try to delete unused spots and see if that fixes this glitch, otherwise let Bethseda know and wait about 2 years for them to fix it.

sorry bout that above, i was in a hurry to get 10 posts, but yeah..

I never have experienced this but then again I tend to begin a new character when my save count hits around 1,000 ish.

I have a potential fix for you.

Load up the save you want most and get your character up and loaded.
Go to start menu and from the save option delete -all- of your save files including the auto.
Immedietly save afterwords and then reload that fresh save.

See if that fixes it.

I've run into this glitch. Basically, the text identifying the save in the list doesn't match the information and the preview picture given for said save.

For me this only seems to happen when accessing the list from in-game (hitting ESC to bring up the load menu), so I always try to exit out to the main menu for loading (or deleting) saved games.

All the informations here is probably what cause this to happen,

1. Creating Lots of save point probably ignite this, because I notice this problem started to happen after I create more than 9 save-points. My first play-through is two character with total 9 save points. Then I make two more characters with 5 save points. Since then the glitch occurred.

2. Deleting save-point directly from ESC menu. I've done this all the time.

Anyway, deleting some save-points don't remedy the save menu glitch for me. It will always occur on the bottom three save-point (I've tried deleting save-points at one time). Well, I should probably back-up the data and delete all of them. This glitch so far not a severe problem, yet.

I have about 400 save times and about 300-350 save points and never encountered this glitch.Maybe some of your saves are corrupt?
