Who is a follower whose personality you actually hate
This is for a daedric shrine quest so spoilers abound!!
So yeah, for Boethiah's Calling, you need to sacrifice a follower. As a good character, I do not feel inclined to sacrifice any of the housecarls, and haven't met any rude mercenaries, but I'm sure I haven't met, nor remember, every follower there is.
Anyone have any suggestions of who they'd love to sacrifice? Too bad there's no adoring fan kind of thing here.

Re: Who is a follower whose personality you actually hate
I read something somewhere on the web, and it's probably a hoax, claiming that there's a certain chicken in the game who can become a Follower. Ridiculous, sure, but seeing how bent out of shape Skyrim's NPCs become when a chicken gets whacked, I'd be careful of sacrificing it, just in case you do find it.

I'm fairly certain that the follower has to be an NPC, but don't quote me on that. Also, I don't think I have it in me to sacrifice a dog anyway ):

Not that I generally base my list of people to sacrifice to the dark powers on personality flaws but...
Lydia. That hint of reluctance in her voice when I demand to foist hundreds of pounds of vendor fodder on her really begins to grate after awhile.

Lydia, also, acts oddly when you tell her to trade with you, as if she's being forced to do this against her will.
Try Cosnach in the Markarth bar. He doesn't have much personality at all and is really boring.
Or, if you're in the college, Onmund. I never liked him. He's a nerd.

Onmund is my husband...
But I always sacrifice the wood elf from Riverwood. He's a duplicitous jerk... with the lying to the girl he wants and whatnot.

You can always just take one of those respawning Dark Brotherhood initiates. They don't have names and all you have to do is finish the DB quest line.

Re: Who is a follower whose personality you actually hate
I also am giving them followers just to restart their organization, but am not going to kill the dragon. You can do both, but I'm not sure how far along the initiation quest thing if you DON'T kill the dragon. Which is what I'm doing.MorroWeiner wrote:I say that we sacrifice Arch-Mage Matt. For siding with the blades (and I assume) killing Parthunaax. I cannot [&@%!] believe your [&@%!] man. What are you, evil?
Edit: Perhaps that was harsh, but come on man. Even if he did eat some blades a thousand years ago, the world have ended without him. Not cool
And to previous poster, I wiped out the DB. Kind of went along with my good character guilt ^_^

I hate the way Lydia speaks with me
I go out of my way to prepare for her some Legendary armor, and when I go to give it to her
she sounds scornful and demeaning

A warning that this was going to spoil Boethia's quest a fair bit would have been nice.

Faendal. He may be my same race, and I may have picked him over Sven, but I'm gonna marry Camilla Valerius or whatever her name is, so It'd be kinda awkward IMO...

Re: Who is a follower whose personality you actually hate
i hate J'zargo. I think he is a slimy stealing, up to no good Khajiit. This is not because I have a predisposition against Khajiit though, I always play as one, however for the first time I am a dark elf instead.
One time i was putting loot in the arch-mage's quarters and i made J'zargo wait outside because i felt like he would steal my stuff if he saw what all i had. Then i realized i was playing a video game and had a laugh.
Anyways, he is my go to follower, because I wouldn't mind if he died.

Re: Who is a follower whose personality you actually hate
Actually, I think that particular part is Bethesda's way of mocking people for playing on a lower difficulty. It takes them much longer to kill that giant on expert and master difficulty, whereas on adept and lower they pretty much kill him before you can even get there. She even mentions something about another milk-drinker whining about how hard they tried if you pick the relevant dialogue option.DorostheConqueror wrote:Aela the Huntress. Of course, I married Aela the Huntress, so I'm not exactly impartial.
