Control Mod
is there any mod or anything that will make the game play with the mouse for directional movement and WASD for movement

I don't think there are any mods for Arena.

This allows you to remap your keys to whatever keys you want. The only problem is it isn't free ($29.95), but you can almost get it for free through trial pay - I managed to get it for about $2 (including some cheap game from trial pay) as they are having some sort of deal for a limited time. Of course, you need a credit or debit card.
I know there are a few other applications that remap keys, but they do it by modifying your registry which in turn makes you have to restart when you want to change your keys. This is the only one I found that didn't work that way - it even has a pause button.
Not sure if it is worth it to anyone to get it, but it was to me as I was dying to see where TES series started but I could not stand those horrible keys!
