Better/smoother graphics?

I've been playing daggerfall lately, and the grahics are getting hard to look at. Obviously this is because of the resolution so I was wondering if anyone knew a way to play on a higher resolution or smooth out the graphics.

Take a look at Dagger XL, it is an ongoing project to remake the game engine for modern operating systems and includes features like smoother hi-res graphics and extended draw distance. It is only in pre-alpha at the moment but you can download a work in progress build. I haven't tried it myself yet as I'm still holding out for a fully playable build, but it's worth keeping your eye on as the results look pretty impressive so far.

It seems this forum will not let me post external links yet so just google search for DaggerXL or find their page on Moddb, also there are some videos on youtube which show off the smoother graphics.
