Well, if you pre-order via Amazon, you not only get the map, you also get a $10 credit applied to your account within 2 days after it's shipped. Same-day delivery (standard is free) is only 99 cents, for a total of $60.98.

To me, that's better than getting it in the store, since you're guaranteed to get it and you're up 9 bucks (after release-date shipping). They don't charge your card until they ship it, so you can pre-order now, as long as you'll have the funds available a few days before it comes out.

What about in-pack/store DLC? Places like Best Buy and Gamestop usually have something for big ticket titles like this. Until we hear otherwise, what would you want as a in-pack DLC?

Far as I know, there's no in-pack/in-store DLC.

I do know they plan at least 2 DLCs, and Xbox has a 30-day exclusive right to those. Makes me very glad I have an Xbox!

As I understand it, every game platform has 3 editions:
- Standard Edition: Paper map
- Special Edition : Fabric map
- Collectors Edition : Fabric map, artbook and statue.
Now, most places where you pre-order offer the Special Edition at normal price.

This does not mean you can not get the Special Edition later.
This does not mean that all pre-order shops guarantee the Special Edition.

It will basically all boils down to how much inventory shops get and how many sales will be made on 11/11/11......

All preorders do come with the fabric map, but why stop there? Go crazy and spend 150 dollars on it like i did then you get the 12" tall statue, the 200 page artbook, the making of dvd, the GAME (most importantly of course,) and the fabric map. Plus it all comes in a gigantic box! But as for DLC or special item packs, there are none. I for one, am happy that they aren't doing that.

Special Edition has a fabric map, standard has a normal paper map. And although I can't give any direct evidence as far as every gamestop is concerned, the guy I preordered my game from at gamestop said all their preorders were special edition.

Ah, so it looks like the premium map included with the Amazon pre-order is the fabric one, plus you get the regular paper one with the game.

Two maps for the price of one. Works for me.

Wow, I was going to wait till like Thanksgiving when I go back home to get this. Now I've decided I'm going to pre order it and travel as far as necessary to get to the closest gamestop just for the preorder bonus.

if you preordered from game stop no matter what version you preordered you get a cloth map...

i will be getting a cloth map, and a book, and a statue... and other cool things.

Alright, so I just want to clarify: I payed $164 for my pre-ordered copy from GameStop, and I asked the dude if it was the Collectors Edition and he said it was, so I think I'm good, but all this talk about the Special Edition kinda worried me... lolz

Actually that's just the big box. The actual game from the screens and unboxings i've seen have the regular case just in black plastic with 2 discs. (The standard edition has that eco-crap with the fake case where they gouge giant holes into the plastic behind the insert.) But the boxart is still the same

There were other stores that had different pre order bonuses but it was a bit confusing. I don't remember which ones did it anyway

I watched the same one, and that's because it wasn't a pre-order collector's edition that they gave them. It only had what you would get if you didn't reserve it. I can assure you without any doubt in my mind, you'll be getting the cloth map I made sure to check when I upgraded. (Way back when they first announced the collector's edition.)
