What moments in Oblivion gave you goosebumps?
To me, hearing the music at the start-up menu gives me goosebumps lol.
In the storyline I would have to say before the Battle of Bruma takes place

I'd have to say the Entrance into the Imperial City when the Daedra attack it...I really didn't know what to expect at all.
Also, the second to last room against Umaril as the Divine Crusader when time seems to stop and there's no sound. That gave me really bad goosebumps.

Anywhere with snow or ice. Brrrr!
Actually, I never get goosebumps from games (or TV or movies, for that matter), however horrific or scary. I always know "it's only make-believe" and I'm not hurting anyone or anything because "they're only pixels".

Re: What moments in Oblivion gave you goosebumps?
On-topic: When Intro movie starts (if you're idle in menu for too long), because of the increased volume and the music that starts to play.
(a little) Off-topic: Oblivion never gave me goosebumps, Morrowind neither. These are not the type of games, where storyline (or side quests) are really good. It's just average game, but with above-average (Oblivion) and superb (Morrowind) RPG system.
(a lot) Off-topic: What gave me goosebumps was scene in Final Fantasy X where
There are really intense feelings in those scenes and, sorry guys, Oblivion can't do even 50% of what FFX has done.

Re: What moments in Oblivion gave you goosebumps?
I was never really that nervous when playing most of Oblivion; however I've started a new character to do the Thieves' Guild. Now that does make me jumpy: the constant hammering of "detect life"; the sneak / run / sneak / run combination; the [Pinky]We're getting away![/Pinky] after grabbing the items... proper scary.
I am, unfortunately, without any greeting. Apologies. *stares*

For me it's the Purification Quest of the DB where you... and even worse when you return to Applewatch and find out that
There aren't a whole lot of other things that gave me goosebumps, well, there is the thing that that lives in Greenmead cave! It always just activates my "AAAH GIANT SPIDER!" reflex.

Re: What moments in Oblivion gave you goosebumps?
I would have to say the Tears of the Savior quest. It was probably mostly in part to the glitch where one of the tears was unattainable and my character trying to go multiple times across the pond and taking cold damage that nearly killed him on every run.

Re: What moments in Oblivion gave you goosebumps?
My road-weary and absolutely rain-drenched character was treading along the east bank of the Niben trying to find any shelter from the thunderstorm pouring down. I spy this chapel on the shore near a small pier and think to myself "Ah! A place of worship. I'm sure this will be a fine sanctuary until the weather clears... Oooh, look: a coffin on the dock. They must've had a funeral recently. Let me just pop on in through the front door— aww, nuts!"
Baurus: Our job is to get the Emperor out of situations like this. Though I'll admit, things aren't going exactly to plan.
Casandra: At the moment, the deadliest weapon at my disposal is a goblin's head on a stick. I'd be worried if this was the plan.

Re: What moments in Oblivion gave you goosebumps?
The two times that I remember:
1) the first time I played Oblivion and left the sewers, it was a "wow" moment along with goosebumps.
2) the second time is similar to the first, when I first left Chorrol and at one point could see Skingrad at a distance, the realisation that I could walk there was another goosebump moment.
This was one of the first open world games I played so I was easily impressed

A hero can be anyone, even a man doing some as simple and reassuring as putting a coat around a young boy's shoulders to let him know the world hadn't ended.

Whenever I went into the Oak and Crosier's basement I got a little bit put off by the misplaced Dungeon music.
i never went in there again.

Re: What moments in Oblivion gave you goosebumps?
No moments in Oblivion feel epic, the graphics look kinda cartoony to me (I don't care about graphics...but for an RPG they do matter, hard to get immersed in a 8bit 2D pixelized world), I would say the battle for bruma is the best part but even that its like "AFTER GATHERING A GIANT ARMY, YOU ONLY HAVE 4 GUYS -trollface-"

The Dark Brotherhood quest, in which you go to that lighthouse, with the mother's head.
Another time, where I just got the crap scared out of me, was during one of the Mages Guild Recommendations, when the leader of that guildhall went somewhat crazy, and you had to go into a crypt or something like that, and suddenly there's a guy standing behind you. First I was like "Oh, it's just you". Then he attacked me....

Me: "So, how did you get this rich?"
Random Jarl: "I'm the Jarl and so were my father, grandfather, and his father. How about you?"
Me: "I've just spent some days chopping wood."

The moment where you enter the DB Sanctuary for the first time kinda gave me the chills.
