Well that was short. I think something longer than that is bound to happen.

Re: Skyrim Live Action Trailer
I find it weird that they would make a live action trailer when what they really should advertise is the game's graphics. And they ARE worth advertising...
It wasn't really special to me.

Oh I dunno, I thought it was cute. I bet they had fun putting it together. I also get the sense that they were trying to say "hey! Our game looks more like Game of Thrones than that Game of Thrones game!"

Battlefield 3 raised the bar too high. They can't advertise with their graphics now, they're years behind.Overwatch wrote:I find it weird that they would make a live action trailer when what they really should advertise is the game's graphics. And they ARE worth advertising...

I liked it.
I find it to be an "ok" teaser it looks good although it's pretty easy too see that the dragon is not real.

Re: Skyrim Live Action Trailer
That's not true at all. Having just watched the Battlefield 3 ad, I say that Bethesda has nothing to worry about in the graphics department. In fact, I sincerely doubt that the two will be compared at all due to the fact that one's a shooter and the other is a western RPG. Whatever possessed them to create this, that wasn't it.Narzul wrote:Battlefield 3 raised the bar too high. Re: Skyrim Live Action Trailer
Total agreement from me. This doesn't seem to help the Elder Scrolls franchise in any way. Many gamers treat live action and cinematic trailers the same way you'd treat a Grifball player that plants the ball, but doesn't die in the process. It simply doesn't count.

I actually enjoyed it a lot and it makes me want to buy the game even more. I feel like most gamers nowadays are so unappreciative of what companies do for them it's unreal.

Re: Skyrim Live Action Trailer
I think by now Bethy knows that the graphics of the game aren't what will sell it. Hopefully we'll see some more straight-forward gameplay these coming weeks.Narzul wrote:Battlefield 3 raised the bar too high. Re: Skyrim Live Action Trailer
How is anyone here being unappreciative? The only way I can think that you can be unappreciative towards them is to pirate the game instead of actually buying a copy.Twilight wrote:I actually enjoyed it a lot and it makes me want to buy the game even more. I was just waiting for him to shout OSTKAKA (meaning "cheese cake" in swedish, it really sounds like it in the first trailers) before the end but he never did. Weak.
Good tease though.

Re: Skyrim Live Action Trailer
It's not really anyone here specifically. Just the gaming community in general I feel like doesn't really grasp how much companies do to please us. After all, without us, there is no them. So, just reading "Oh, it was alright, doesn't make me wanna buy it more." Just made me think is all. I mean, I understand if this Live Action Trailer is not their cup of tea, totally get that, and I don't mean anyone here. But it was just the comments here that made me start thinking...if that makes sense...AKB wrote:How is anyone here being unappreciative? Re: Skyrim Live Action Trailer
Truth is, this live action trailer was too short to have any impact right now. The first teaser was even shorter with no footage at all. However it blew everyone's mind. Now we're three weeks away from the game and I don't think a trailer this small and uneventful will impress many people.

Re: Skyrim Live Action Trailer
hopefully they will release more soon as said above! however I'm fine with what have been given... to me trailers don't matter much. just the game itself.mars wrote:Truth is, this live action trailer was too short to have any impact right now. Why didn't they do this in CGI? - Then it would have been impressive. As of now, the only thing that mattered was the part from about 0:40 and of course the dragon.

Re: Skyrim Live Action Trailer
Truth is, this game is already getting a ton of buys based on pre-order numbers alone. This commercial isn't about getting more buys, it's really just marketing for the sake of marketing. Bethesda knows they already have a cash cow on their hands, so this is really just for fun. I would reckon that if they were hoping to sway more people into buying the game, then the slew of in-game footage they've put out over the past few months (including the 20 minute demo) would've already done the job.mars wrote:Truth is, this live action trailer was too short to have any impact right now.
