Skyrim 1920 x 1080

Post by Bonfy »

So I'm gonna buy this new monitor with 1920 X 1080 resolution, and I was wondering if while playing Skyrim (or any other game) I will see everything "stretched" due to the monitor being quite wide. Will my character be fatter and shorter than normal or will i see it the normal way, and maybe see a bit more environment on the sides of the monitor?
I'm really worried about this, it may make me change monitor if the game is gonna be stretched :(

I think Oblivion can cope with most modern widescreen sizes as well? 1920 x 1080 is the same as 1080p on an HDTV, and the console versions should be able to support that hopefully, so there should be no worries :)

I run everything on 1920 x 1080, and I never have a problem with stretching.
