Now that I own some houses, I find myself wondering: is there a limit to how much you can put in a storage chest?
Last night I dumped 2/3 of my achemy ingredients into a chest (15+ line items!), and it seemed to take it. I also have a cupboard that has, like, 3 swords, a dagger, and a dwarven cuirass in it. I'd be real concerned, however, if I come back from a quest and find all those things gone or my game becomes buggy/unstable or something.
I don't see any guidance on this stuff in the printed material. Thanks!

Storage Chests
Nemo malus felix.
The short answer is: No. You won't lose any stuff.
The long answer is:
Houses that you own (the ones you bought) are safe. You will not lose any stuff you put in chests.
However, there is a glitch concerning chests which make it appear that you have lost stuff if you put hundreds of items in chests. Fortunately they are not lost, but simply don't show up. If that happens to you then press the "Take All" button and put back the stuff you don't need after that.
BTW: It's not only related to the chest containing many items. It will happen if the cell containing the chests has many items in it.
If you didn't buy the house then chances are the chests are not safe. An example is the chest in the Arch Mage's tower.
There are exceptions: I've never lost any stuff in the White Stallion Lodge. That's the one you'll get from the Count of Leyawiin after dealing with Mazoga the Orc.
