So ive been thinking of wear in TES might real world stories take place if they had happpened in Tamriel and i decided to make a list, just to get it out there, add or comment if you wish i dont care.
High Rock
Both Beauty and the Beast(both the regular story and Disneys, and it takes place in France, which is ona High Rocks influences) and the
Hunch Back of Noisterdam(another story in france), they both have a Daggerfall feel to them.
All of those Prince and Princess stories with evil witches and sorceres like Cinderella and Snow White would definitly take place in High Rock, mainly becasue withches and Princes and Princesses of various kingdoms fit High Rock more than anywear else.
the story of King Arthur & Merlin, mainly because there part of Celtic myths and the Celts fit in with High Rocks theme
Any greek myth or story i could imagine taking place in an Ancient version of Highrock
Hammerfall
Prince of Persia, Aladin, The stories of Sinbad,
So thats all i got so far

I think that High Rock and the Bretons themselves have a strong French and Anglo-Saxon influence upon them, which is probably why Hunchback and Beast seem to have a High Rock-esque feel.
As for Hammerfell, I certainly get the same vibe. In fact I'd call those kind of influences it's main ones.

The story of Romulus and Remus could have occurred in Cyrodiil... with a few modifications. Instead of a Dragonborn lineage of Emperors we might've had the Wolfborn.
And the siege of Troy could be an ancient Yokudan war-story.

This! Arngeir does sound like Väinämöinen (UESPWiki: Arngeir is a powerful Greybeard elder who lives atop High Hrothgar)Knight wrote:Kalevala obviously took place in Skyrim. One word: Thu'um.
Just cause of the Emperor Parasol Trees and otherwise strange landscape of Vvardenfell I'm gonna say Alice's Adventures in Wonderland would take place there.
