What is the latest movie you saw? What did you think of it? Was it excellent, awesome, good, fair, okay, not bad, meh, sucking, horrible, or so bad you kept thinking,"Shoot me. Shoot me now."? What ever it was, why was it that way? What was so meh about it, or so awesome? Was the dialogue superb, the acting pretty good, the CGI through the roof?
Using the words in bold above, describe the latest movie you saw, and explain why you gave it that "score". After all, no one likes a negative critic.
First off, two nights ago me and my family watched a movie called, Age of Dragons. It licked dog bogeys. Officially though, it was sucking. To get an idea what this movie was like, take the story Moby Dick, and everytime the word "whale" is used in in the story, exchange it for the word "white dragon" in the film. But, whereas Moby Dick is now known as a classic amongst literature, this particular movie was way over the top cliched, and was made by a lower end (like first time movie makers) film company.
I don't know. It might just be me, but I rate this movie as sucking, and don't suggest you waste your time with it. Unless of course you have exactly 1 hour to kill. Cuz it is that long. And yes, that hour will most likely be dead after that one hour. That or you might wish you were for sitting through that load of hog wash.
(Oh yeah, and officially, the movie only got 2 out of 10 stars in its rating. So yeah, take it from the "experts".)
Second up is Tangled, one of the newer releases by Walt Disney. From what i heard too, this one also got low end ratings (not sure on the exact number), but personally I thought it was a perfect Excellent. Though perhaps a bit cliched (but what isn't nowadays), it was still an excellent movie. Very funny, very smooth, very impressive animation, and a good voice cast. I even found the sound track most appealing. This song in particular I found most appealing. Over all, the sound track itself was well made and beautifully orchestrated.
So for Age of Dragons I prescribe the score of Sucking. Tangled however receives perfect marks at Excellent..

I just saw Avatar, and it gets a solid meh. I'm sorry, but I'd like some plot to go with my special effects. A plot that isn't just Pocahontas meets Dances with Wolves in space.
Spoiler:
The Muddy Swampert of the Poké-Squad. The Smart Guy of the Troper Team.
I actually haven't seen a film since Zombieland. However, I must rate this film awesome. The characters were cliched, but bad-ass. The special effects were cool. Lastly, I love the line "Snoballs? SNOBALLS?! WHERE ARE THE DAMN TWINKIES?!"

Don't tell me that your heart is breaking,
Don't tell me that you feel alone,
Just run until your legs start shaking,
Don't stop until you hit the floor!
And I hope one day,
We find our way,
'Til then we got an awful lot to lose,
So get up and move!
I loved Inception. I'd have to rate it as awesome. The special effects were cool, the plot was unique, and the idea was by far one of the most unique I've seen in a while. But, it's one of those movies that you can only see once a year.

What, what did you just say? How dare you. How dare you.

Oh no. I just stated my honest opinion of a movie. It's the end of the world.

And I love the way you worded your opinion mister Videogamer. Humorous indeed.

I think the point of a Parody Comedy is to cram as many clichés as possible, always follow the rules, but yes a very awesome movie......."Double Tap"
The Creeping Terror qualifies as both awesome and shoot me now. Words cannot adequately describe the horribleness of this movie beyond saying that it's so bad that you must try to see it in its entirety at least once.

Saw Profondo Rosso (Deep Red) last night. Anyone who has never seen a Dario Argento movie and claims to like horror is missing out a lot. Suspiria is the epitome of his work and anyone who just likes great visuals or something atmospheric should check out any of the two.
If you haven't watch Lars and the Real Girl, if you can get past the initial weirdness shock it is the most beautiful movie (okay maybe not the most, but it is a lovely film, and philosophical to boot ).
Also just want to say, Stranger Than Fiction is a nice film to, so happy by the ending , I like Harold Crick he seems like a nice enough person.
Suckerpunch was okay. Most of the characters were bland, and there seemed to be three different settings, but one was the same as another, or something.
Well wrap me around your neck and call me a pedant.

also, can someone give me a rundown of zombieland? Is it a horror movie? Is it really gross?
It has its gross moments, it's a zombie movie after all, but it's more or less a comedy/horror parody movie (makes fun of other zombie movies or horror movies in general) with quite a bit of slapstick and quirky humor

Ugh... Skyline. An ingrown tumor on the leg of the Digital Age. The acting was just.... Unspeakable
The plot was good, but it was brought about terribly.
The end, was just... Stupid. Come on, if an alien eats a certain good-guy's brain, he doesn't all of a sudden just inherit his genetic code. An alien turning good and killing all the other aliens, followed by a trashy heavy metal guitar solo...
Wikipedia wrote:In August 2010 it was reported that Sony Pictures Entertainment was contemplating legal action against Greg and Colin Strause, the directors of Skyline and the owners of Hydraulx Filmz. Sony paid Hydraulx to generate visual effects work for Battle: Los Angeles. But Hydraulx never informed Sony the siblings were directing a rival alien invasion feature, similarly driven by special effects, scheduled for release four months prior to Sony's feature. A rep for the Strauses issued a statement: "Any claims of impropriety are completely baseless. This is a blatant attempt by Sony to force these independent filmmakers to move a release date that has long been set by Universal and Relativity and is outside the filmmakers' control".
Taken out of context "Sony Pictures Entertainment was contemplating legal action" could sum up how people feel about the film.
But seriously, does this mean that Battle:LA will be bad as well?
