I also put the 'h' before the La Loo, as it isn't at all awkward in the pronunciation

It's said in the game quite a few times if I'm not mistaken...though I've also heard it said in Oblivion, both times it was pronounced hlah-loo.

I pretty much pronounce it as Hlaalu, with a weak H... straight aaaa... lu with a straight extended u... uuuh... not "you". Probably the Finnish doing it; the word is like Hungarian, close to Finnish. Redoran is more difficult in that way, no Finnish for it. :)

I pronounce "Hlaalu" as "Scum fit only to be subjugated by the Telvanni". But really, Hlaalu is pronounced Hla-Loo. Kind of like starting as an H and ending as an L.

I guess it's like real life: French speaking English is quite different from Germans speaking English, not to mention British and Americans speaking English... can't see why they would pronounce Hlaalu the same way?

In Oblivion there is an Alchemist that pronounces it "Wa-Loo" As that is the only time that it is ever spoken, I assuming that is how Bethesda pronounces it.

Uhm, I just remembered (and to be sure looked it up in CS): People in Mournhold sometimes greet you by "Grandmaster of House Hlaalu, how may I serve you?" And it sure was pronounced "Laloo", male Dunmer almost pronounce it "Lalloo".

Silly silent letters. Why is that "H" there anyway? Again, silly silent letters.

Probably because it looks better. Hlaalu looks good, just like a real fantasy name. Honestly, I think Hlaalu is an awesome name. I like it a lot
Laalu looks like Teletubby Laa-Laa's son :D

I'm pretty sure Falaanu Hlaalu pronounces it in Oblivion. She says "Huhlahloo"
