Hello again to everyone!!
I've run into a problem with both KotN and SI that I hope someone can help me with. When I was retrieving the Boots of the Crusader from Kynareth's Grotto, I found that the stone slab blocking the entrance would not lower the way it was supposed to after the bear was dealt with. Even when I never touched the bear at all, the slab would make the appropriate sound effects and dust could be seen at its base, but it would not move. I was forced to leave the cell and then return a couple of times in order to pass through. And then, once inside, I noticed that the butterflies were frozen in place instead of fluttering around like they should be. I retrieved the boots anyway and went to Leyawiin so that I could use them to retrieve the Mace of the Crusader. After grabbing the mace, I noticed that I had a white 'halo' around my head as per the lighting effect when you cast certain spells on yourself. Rather than going from head to toe and then disappearing, it was just stuck floating above me, and it even followed me around. I tried going in and out of the cell repeatedly, but this only moved the halo down a little with each load, but it didn't get rid of it. I went on upstairs to the chapel, and noticed that the same thing was effecting the invading Aurorans and the folks battling them. I shrugged it off as a KotN problem, and deleted the save (I hadn't played it very much anyway). I then played a very small part of SI, but now I am noticing it there. All was well until I went to report to Sheogorath for the first time. After speaking with him, I noticed that the various fires around the building were frozen in place, and then the stupid halo appeared again. On top of that, the non-loading doors in the building wouldn't open!! When I would press 'A', the door would just sit there. If I left the area and then returned, the door would be open a little bit more. It was as though it was moving very slowly or something, like Kynareth's Grotto had done.
Can someone please tell me what the heck is going on here?! I never had a problem like this with the Oblivion main game, so I'm thinking it has to involve KotN and SI. Should I just reinstall them? It would sicken my stomach to think that something was irreparably damaged. I played through much of the main quest looking forward to the expansions.
Yet another problem, this time with SI and KotN...

Are you playing on PC?
How many hours do you have on the character?
Most likely, you have the A-Bomb... Animation Bug/Glitch.

There are two fixes if you are on PC:After long periods of spending hundreds of hours of gameplay, flames (such as fire spells) don't extinguish, torches don't flicker or flicker very slowly, doors in catacombs fail to close or close very very slowly, and traps animate slowly as well. It reacts like the game is getting laggy, even with a high-end system, but many other things run at normal speed.

Download a utility like Animation Fixer (very easy to use; only fixes this problem) or Wrye Bash (more complicated and requires installation of Python but has dozens of different functions) to fix your saved game file.

Definately sounds like the Abomb, If your profile information is correct and you're on 360, I think that character may be irreparably broken, as I know of no fixes for the console version.

As you're playing on the 360,there is no known fix for the A-bomb. From the links posted above, you can see that it is caused by large amounts of play time.
Basically, these slow animations won't dissappear or sort themselves out. To play Oblivion again, without any animation lag, you'll have to start a new character.
You can try reinstalling. Also, try installing Oblivion to the hard drive if you have not done so yet. Doubt it will work, but it's worth a try I'd say.
