I assume when you say the modmanager you do mean Oblivion Mod Manager, right? That's generally referred to as OBMM, just so you know. I would like to point out that any mod you download can be converted to an OMOD, the type of file that is used by OBMM. For more details see the OBMM documentation. Now on to your question...

While I'm not certain any of these mods match your description exactly, you may enjoy them anyway, and they are at least in some small part related to your request:
  • Check out the "New Locations" category on TESNexus. As always, I recommend you sort the results according to "endorsements descending" so that you get the most popular results first.
  • In fact, you should probably just scroll through all TESNexus categories to find stuff you may find interesting. If you're like me, you'll find mods you never even knew you wanted.
  • Elsweyr the Deserts of Anequina is a profoundly popular mod. In development since June 2009, it was most recently updated only one week ago, and boasts an impressive 254,000 downloads and over 1000 endorsements. Such numbers should speak for themselves.
  • The Lost Spires, if I remember correctly, adds the Archeology Guild to the game which you can become the leader of.
  • Kvatch Rebuilt MOD SPOILER:
    Spoiler:
allows you to become the count or countess of Kvatch once it is rebuilt.
  • Servant of the Dawn allows you to become a member of the Mythic Dawn after the completion of the main storyline and allows you to become leader of a very powerful something...
While there are certainly many more, these few I recommend above are all included in TESNexus' top 100 all-time downloads page. Obviously all of these mods come highly regarded. Good luck, and enjoy.

~ EDIT ~
Oops, I forgot to mention Battlehorn Castle. Battlehorn Castle is part of the official plugin Fighter's Stronghold. In fact, as far as I know, Battlehorn Castle is pretty much the ENTIRE Fighter's Stronghold plugin. Anyway, this one you must purchase from Bethesda. More details can be found in the link provided above.
Not that prophet.
