Wereboar - technical problem.

Well, as funny as the topic may sound, there is a technical problem with my "being" wereboar.
First of all - hello to you all (about time, isn't it?):). I've resently got a hold of a Daggerfall.iso, and in order to install the game I've downloaded the dagnt.zip (you know, incompatibility with XP and all that).
I've got the game running almost perfect, even with unglitched sound, the only problem being I'm unable to turn left while running (turning right is OK), and maybe, a little slow on backing off (kinda disturbing, especially while using "hit and run" tactics, but no big deal).
Well, sorry for the rambling - on to the issue. After I've finally caught a lycantropy (and it was no easy task on level 2, let me tell ya), I rested for a while, noted the stats change ("Now we're rolling, he-he-he..."), opened my spell book... There, there's the magic moment... I could almost feel the tusks growing on my real face... And then...
Yes, you've guessed right. The famous black screen. The game crashed.
