Not a really big fan of metalcore myself, but some angry music definitely works wonders for me. If I ever get worked up, I just load some crust or hardcore punk and then I feel liberated.
For regular relaxation, pretty much only getting a beer or two while listening to an lp in the evening. And get even more relaxed if it's some stoner stuff.
High tempo music or working out to the DBZ soundtracks works for getting rid of aggression. On the other side, Trance is probably one of my best ways to relax.
Sometimes I yell at the world and throw things around. It's like the worst way to let out your anger, but I just don't know how to regulate my anger well.
I play my guitar, and beat the crap outta the strings if I'm aggravated. Play games, cause shooting or stabbing stuff is always fun. Listen to music, and lose myself in it..Or visit the forums to vent my weirdness!

I get slammed on alcohol, shoot things irl with my new Ruger Redhawk .44, and then pass out when I'm tired. Oh, watching fatmanmirrorsagain video's on youtube works as well.
When I'm being selfish or want something done a certain way and it doesn't happen, I might mutter an insult but that's usually the extent of my anger. The only exceptions would be if something terrible were to happen to my children.. or that one time when I played that game... Demon's Souls... I don't want to talk about it u_u

When I played Demon Souls I went into a deep depression for about a month, I refuse to ever touch that game again.
I'm always relaxed, because of my medication. But if I REALLY want to like... pass out, I'll usually settle in with a philosophical book and read it while drowning by self in hardstyle remixes of songs. Rave music and the like.
Seriously though, drinking a ton of alcohol "preferably malt liquor in 40oz bottles" really puts me in the mood for gaming, especially the ones the require exorbitant amounts of grinding.
I'm always pretty tense, but its nothing some red wine and music cant handle. If it ever gets too extreme I just lock myself away for a few days. I live in a tower in a rural area, so if I want to be left alone I get left alone.
Just being quite and doing my favorite things like having a good cup of tea or browsing most of all getting my chores done is a perfect relaxation for me. The thought that my work is done atlast helps me to be relaxed.

I've managed to complete both Demon's Souls and Dark Souls, but if any game has ever been made simply for the sake of frustrating you, that would be it.
Then again, I wouldn't even say I resort to gaming to relax. Going to bed would probably be my number one choice in that matter.
Other than play videogames, I like to get a big mug of tea or coffee (whichever I'm in the mood for), putting on some instrumental music and doing some painting.
I usually go out and head to whatever comes to mind. I usually encounter interesting things along the way that distracts...whatever is distracting me. If the weather's not agreeable, I just watch a movie.

of meadow-flowers and butterflies in summers that have been;
Of yellow leaves and gossamer in autumns that there were,
with morning mist and silver sun and wind upon my hair."
