I literally yelled "What?!" at the screen. Every other time when I had cared about it, a dead thrall would vanish when travelling between Windhelm and Raven Rock. Wow. Had to save and quit - just too much. Does this mean that if you try FT enough times your dead thrall will eventually make it with you? Grr.

On a lark, to celebrate beating a Legendary dragon, 3 werebears, and some reavers on Solstheim, Kjell dead enthralled a Reaver. On FT back to Skyrim she was, as expected, not on the boat. FT home, get killed by a giant (awkward), game reloads at Windhelm docks, still no Reaver, FT home, kill the giant (yay), turn, and see that Reaver thrall next to Kjell.

Re: Post funny, stupid or weird glitches that's happened to
(I'm playing a heavily modded PC version, so this may not be related to anything in the vanilla version)
*possible Companions questline spoilers*
I had just completed my marrige to Derkeethus at the Temple of Mara in Riften. Having already completed the Companions questline, I was seeking out a few bandit forts to progress my Werewolf perks. I start heading North from Riften and pass by Vilkas on the road. As I wander into Fort Greenwall, I figure this is as good a place as any to transform and start tearing up some bandits. Vilkas was within sight when I transformed and became hostile to me, telling me "I never should have come here".
Vilkas attacked me for being a werewolf.
I'm still trying to work this out.
I reloaded an earlier save so I didn't have to put him down.

As an experiment, I had Kjell return to Solstheim, get two different Rievers as Dead Thralls, and return home. Success! The key may be that you can travel between "worlds" so long as your thrall is "unmodified," as these two were. They did not appear on the ship, but they did appear at the final FT destination. The next experiment will be with one thrall, slightly modified. And can I get the dressing on the side? Thanks.

Something is really wrong with Embarshard (not sure if spelt it right) Mine. For a start, the guard outside was completely naked and attacked me with fists. One of the bandits got shot by Feandel and spun uncontrollably for about a minute before I smacked him and found one bandit randomly dead (probably by one of his companions.)

More experimenting reveals that dead thralls do indeed travel between Skyrim and Solstheim, they just never show up in the former unless you leave the Windhelm dock via FT.NyarlathotepJr wrote:As an experiment, I had Kjell return to Solstheim, get two different Rievers as Dead Thralls, and return home. I know, only replies are mine. Sorry, but it seemed a good idea to get dead thrall information out there to the multitude yearning to learn more about them ...

On Xbox:
My character married Camilla of Riverwood. I'm sure most of you know of her. She was living in our home in Whiterun. I came home from adventuring one day and walked in to find Faendal standing right next to her! And I already knew how he felt about her. I suspected something and slayed Faendal and my cheating Bi%$# wife instantly. I chose to forgive by reloading though. She may be a cheater, but she's also a shop who's in my own home! Can't go without that.

Re: Post funny, stupid or weird glitches that's happened to
Earlier today, while I was entering the room in Ironbind Barrow that contains Warlord Gathrik, I decided to pause the game to make a quick save. However, when I did, everything behind the pause menu turned yellow, with a nearby light source turned into a bright green box. It went away once I closed the pause menu.
Also, a few months ago, I was swimming under a lake in the Falkreath when I spotted a goat paddling and spazzing out on a rock at the bottom. Once I swam a bit closer, it shot towards the surface and disappeared! xD

Well, I had the infamous "Springy Mammoth Glitch" or whatever it's called when a mammoth spawned inside another mammoth (hehe) and jumped up about 20-30 metres up, fell, and died. Can't loot it thought, there's a giant in the way >_>

Not really a glitch, but funny nonetheless... This was in the middle of one of the static warzones added by the Warzones mod.
Aspiring Bard
Also, the Warzones mod and Meeko don't get along very well. Two characters in a row, I've had to resurrect Meeko to get him because he was dead due to the proximity of a warzone near his shack; I had to use the "moveto" command to even find him on the second character.

Re: Post funny, stupid or weird glitches that's happened to
I met a random Stray Dog out in the wilderness who had just taken care of three Wolves. Wanting to take the dog home with me, I cast Healing Hands at him to get him back into tip-top shape. The ungrateful mutt turned hostile towards me and I was forced to put him down. At least I got a chunk of Dog Meat off him for my efforts. When I finally got home, Lucia began babbling about keeping the dog that "followed me home." As compensation, I left the Dog Meat on her bed for her.
During my travels, I was making my way to Angi's Camp for some Archery training. Having taken a wrong turn along the way, I found myself at the gate southwest of Falkreath where the gameworld ends. I was able to walk through the gate and continue beyond the normal game boundaries. The world became increasingly low-rez, with no animals or plants, just scattered trees. The ground texture became just a mottled skin of repeating grid-work tiles, and I wound up in a steep-sided wide terrain bowl. Unable to climb the slopes, I returned to the gate, where Annekke was patiently waiting for me on the warm side of normality.

Re: Post funny, stupid or weird glitches that's happened to
I've encountered two bizarre glitches today.
1) Every time I get within about fifty feet of the Nightgate Inn during the day, my screen goes blindingly white, like I've cast night eye on myself. Ironically, casting night eye fixes the problem, so I'm fairly convinced it's being caused by the Night Eye Overhaul mod I have installed.
2) I can no longer save while on horseback, because when I load said save, my horse immediately begins sliding all over the map and flying way up in the air. It was funny the first time (especially when I decided that dismounting while Karinda was 200 feet in the air was a good idea), but now it's just annoying. If I dismount quickly enough when the save loads, I can keep it from happening, but it's a pain to have to do that and tab so that Auto Perk Stats Level doesn't go all retarded on me.

Re: Post funny, stupid or weird glitches that's happened to
I really hate how broken Lost to the Ages is. This is the first time I've managed to get the quest to start in the past several characters and what happens?
The quest refuses to update after I put the shards into the crest. No matter what I do, I cannot get it to work. Katria remains frozen scratching at her chin and the quest can proceed no further.
I've tried everything I can think of, and after more than forty minutes trying to sort it out, I'm frustrated to the point where I can't look at Skyrim right now.
I. Give. Up.
... For now.
Edit:
And at 11:50 at night I got it working.
Had to manually use the console to advance the quest up until around stage 190 or so, stage by stage, so that the objectives would complete and the entrance to the forge came up as it was supposed to.
Of course, there was no level to pull in order to get down there, so I had to use the coc command to teleport myself into the Aetherium forge (reloading wasn't doing anything). I then had to use the moveto player command to bring Katria down and she immediately went back to her normal dialogue. I'm going to continue to see if it's working for sure once I set my graphics back to their normal settings (the stuttering around Bthalft was severe enough I had to drop settings down to low from high).

Re: Post funny, stupid or weird glitches that's happened to
I was simply wandering around minding my own business when I happen across a hunter's cabin. Because I had been wandering for so long I decide I was hungry and steal a carrot to eat. Then suddenly I was accosted by a naked redguard woman named "hunter" that had no head! And instead of being attacked I was rather angrily followed because said headless woman just kinda floated around without moving either her arms or legs. In fact, no part of her ever moved, she just kinda slid around on the ground.

Today, I summoned Durnehviir to learn the last word of his shout. Immediately upon appearing in front of me, he took to the air and then dove headfirst through the ground. He reappeared flying in the air above me about two minutes later, but it was just bizarre.

I've never been able to summon him. Either the shout is glitched in my game or I don't know what I'm doing...which is possible. Summoning him in Tamriel does nothing. Tried to do it in the Soul Cairn and still nothing.

Are you pointing at the ground when you try to summon him? Durnehviir isn't like other Dragons in that you shout to the sky to call him.Dohvakiin2012 wrote:I've never been able to summon him. You have to shout at a place on the ground where there's enough space for him to appear. His summoning is more like that of an Atronach or Dremora Lord than, say, Odahviing.
Either that our you have a high magic absorption because that will prevent him from being summoned as well. Which is annoying, though that effect applies to all summons including Durnehviir.

Yeah, while he says you just have to say his name to the heavens, you actually have to be pointing at the ground, a bit less than for conjuring an antronach or similar, IME. Also if you have spell absorbtion it will stop him, because of how it interacts with summoning spells.

Ok...so it was that I didn't know what I was doing because I wasn't pointing at the ground. Does it say that somewhere? Because I totally missed it. Makes sense he is just like another summon though. Thanks!

Re: Post funny, stupid or weird glitches that's happened to
How's this for an annoying glitch? I was working on the Civil War questline. I show up at the Falkreath Stormcloak camp, and Galmar immediately starts attacking me. I tried every console command that I could think of to get him to stop (resetAI, stopcombat/setrelationshiprank, etc), but nothing worked. I didn't have a bounty (at least, not according to my crime sheet), but I went out on a limb and started using "paycrimegold" for all the holds. Apparently, I had one in Falkreath, even though it wasn't listed and no money came out when I used the command, but he immediately stopped attacking me. I really need to pick up a calm spell.
