So Kjell gets back from Solstheim and weird stuff happens.

In the house, Hjerim, were he left his Forsworn thrall's body, she reappears, has to be put down, and is now safely re-enthralled, as it were. This glitch I had at least seen before, but still ...

Kjell returns after months away from Lakeview Manor. The wife (Uthgerd) turns over 6000 septims, and then goes on a tirade about how moving out to the boonies from Solitude was a bad idea, what with the wolves, giant spider attacks, and so on. Immediately Sofie, his new daughter (adopted as he left for Solstheim), raves about how keen it is out here. Lol, literally.

That evening a dragon shows up, Kjell rides it (got the Dragon Rider achievement), tosses lightning and fire at all and sundry, then dismounts. Unimaginable chaos visits those left on the ground. Among the dead are a fetch hunter, some dead afflicted remnants (thought they were all gone ...), various animals, and Llewellyn the now-dead household bard. Whoops. At least we marched him into the house where he can still provide entertainment. :|

Unfortunately, it looks like Hearthfire may not allow one to hire a replacement "home stereo system" once the old one dies. Hmm.

Yes, he got two of them. And he slept in Runa's bed that night. Felina walked in the room to check on the kids and Meeko was cozied up to the girl. :)

D'awwwww. : ) That's incredibly sweet, Dovahkiin!

Okay, do you know how when you trip on bones on th ground it causes a minuscule amount of damage?
I was running away from a draugr deathlord, tripped on a femur, and died. It was the most amusing thing, because when my character died it actually looked like she tripped and knocked her head.

^^ Hilarious! Ah, necromancer moments: in Dead Crone Rock, one of Serana's zombies fought alongside Onmund's flame atronach. When the atronach went down and blew up, the Forsworn zombie turned to Felina and said "You have that fire under control, right?"

Today, I encountered a mammoth fighting two sabercats. Which is a typical encounter. Here's where it gets odd. An elk ran by and got owned by said mammoth. Meanwhile, I was standing not ten feet away and the mammoth didn't even bother me. I'm not complaining or anything; I just found it a bit unusual.

Finally, the wife was kidnapped. That does sound wrong, doesn't it?

Anyway, the bandit carrying the note never made it to Kjell. For some reason she decided to start dicing up Sofie - very disappointing Sofie did not use the magic dagger Daddy gave her - and Rayya jumped in to puree said bandit as Kjell watched. "Hey, I pay these people good money ..." Awesome parenting there. :|

Getting the ransom note, then, the crew went to the place. Waiting at the door was the bad gal and her gang. Kjell did a shout in preparation, before the bandits had spotted him. This seems to have caught the attention of a passing dragon, the bandits noted the dragon, and started off after it. Kjell went, "OK, that works too," and just walked in the front door and rescued Uthgerd.

I assume that on completion of the quest the bandits go away, since they could not be found outside, anywhere. One wacky thing is that Kjell's Forsworn Pillager was stuck between the door into the place and the outside. I could see her running, but she could not get in.

Has anyone's followers gone to jail before? Hilarious: Onmund attacked guards in Windhelm and killed a few. My elf tried to stop him but it ended up with him getting arrested. As the guards were approaching him, he says to her: "Well, this is a fine mess you've gotten me into." I've never had that happen before! Ha..oh, my. Of course, being the good wife that she is, she got him out of the mess by killing the rest of the guards for him. Such is true love.

My first romp in Skyrim I decided to do a bit of reading in the Riverwood General store. I'd never really played a game with the wasd configurations before so I was still in the 'press every button' phase of newbism. I'd run upstairs and was rummaging through the lore when I pressed E (my confirmation setting) instead of Tab (cancel/menu). Well, the shopkeeper was watching and got aggressive. I dropped the book from my inventory but he just started to attack me!
So... I pulled out my mace and attacked back... and managed to kill the girl. >.<;
Let's just say that for a long time, every time he saw me he ran me out of town. As a newbie to the game, I needed the town to survive, so I had to treat the place like a dungeon. On the plus side, I did get a few sneak levels increased. On the down side, Elf-boy now hated me and wouldn't have anything to do with me, even though I chose him to gain now-dead girl's love. To make it up to him, every new character I let him win her hand instead. It's the least I could do.

My first truly terrifying moment was courtesy of a Wispmother in the mountains. I'd been hiking across them, enjoying being able to climb them and jump up cliff-faces, when I ran into one. Curious, I attacked - it hadn't seen me at that point - which turned out to be a Very Bad Idea. Two hits from the damn thing and I was halfway to dead. No longer curious I ran the hell away, climbed some almost unscaleable walls and long-ranged the damn thing... Only to have another suddenly appear and attack me. I headed back up to my perch and sent arrows at that one, only - you guessed it - to have another one come to its aid. I had four arrows left of the 200+ I'd been carrying, but I managed to kill the damn things, gained a level and looted their corpses.
Yeah, I don't really subscribe to the whole 'run away for another day' mentality. That, and I didn't expect them to be so strong.

Confession: I am really creeped out by some of the caves. Like, not-playing-at-night creeped out. Especially the ones that head into the bowels of the earth. Note that I will gladly watch any horror or thriller movie you put in front of me and giggle all the while. Also note that I managed to get all eight notes in Slender and with minimal screaming. Also also note that some Oblivion dungeons have the same effect on me, so it must be something about these games in particular that creep me out.
Whatever the reason, I like it! ^.^)b

I had...not such a fun time today.

I downloaded Dawnguard on Saturday, finally, after getting a WiFi device that worked. Joined the vampire side. That was all well and good, and I only had minor difficulties -- that was up until the Unseen Visions / Touching the Sky quests. As I read the Elder Scroll and finished Unseen Visions, feeling good about myself, I turned around to head out of the Ancestor Glade. Surprise surprise -- five Dawnguard and their Armored Troll attacked me. Of course this was scripted so I was okay with it even though it took a lot of running around shooting blood magic to finally kill them. When I did, I headed outside and flew down the cliff in Vampire Lord form. Almost to Falkreath, and another three Dawnguard leapt out to attack me. Since I had no life and was playing on Expert, they very quickly had me running, and when I finally got far enough away I fast traveled to Dragon Bridge meaning to head over to Darkfall Cave.

And...three more Dawnguard sprung out of the bushes and attacked. I frantically killed them all in human form, since Serana was there and I could do so, and then summoned Arvak and headed down the bridge and to the cave. Halfway to the cave, another squadron of Dawnguard attacked.

Suffice to say I was unhappy. :(

-My first encounter with a dragon at an outdoor word wall, I think I was level 4 or 5. I had been running from a frost troll that I failed to kill several times when I stumbled into the dragon. So my next thought is "OK, I'll just go hide and let these two duke it out then finish off the troll." Less than ten seconds later I'm absorbing a dragon soul and the troll has found my hiding spot. Man, those trolls are tough on lower levels.

-I accidently killed one of my followers, Vilkas I think it was, suddenly a courier spawns and runs toward me to deliver the inheritance letter....except he is wearing nothing but a loincloth. XD

I rode my horse to the top of the Throat of the world once. Accidentally rode it off only the game somehow glitched and I got off the horse in mid air and did not die from the fall.....I did however die when the horse fell on me.

So I decided I was done with Solstheim for a while, but decided I should make a grand entrance into Raven Rock, landing in the middle of the town on the back of a giant Dragon.
However, things started to go a bit wrong.

After the Dragon flew away, the battle music started playing and Glover suddenly went beserk and started to attack the guards at random, then Teldryn decided to join the fun.
To make matters worse, the recently-tamed Dragon was now loose and started attacking the town, killing several NPCs. I was able to bring it down and it crashed on a hill, but when I tried attacking it on horseback it somehow launched me into the sky like a rocket, then the game promptly crashed.

I once had a moment where I was doing a kill cam on a bear, and while I was delivering the finishing blow, Serana (off screen) shot an ice spike into it's behind, sending the bear flying off screen right after my mace struck it. :P

I was doing the Dawnguard questline and at one point I came across a Frost Giant and immediately attacked. It one shooter both me, Serana and my atronach. Fifty tries later, I kill it but at the cost of Serana getting launched at magically reappearing in Whiterun a day later.

This was a while ago, but I thought that the moment I began to trust Serana (I just played through the Dawnguard questline for the first time) was kind of touching. My character was a Dawnguard member, so I didn't trust Serana since she was a vampire. I didn't take her home right away, just kept her along as I did some stuff. At one point I decided to use werewolf form, and (I know this is regular follower mechanics, but still) she didn't seem bothered; in fact, she walked right up to werewolf-Alarra and looked her in the face. At that point I realized I was being hypocritical - werewolves are considered nightmare monsters by most too - and it seemed that she accepted me for who and not what I was, and I decided to do the same.

How touching. I'm a little peeved at her, myself. First, she turns on me when I accidentally hit one of her zombies in combat (I had to reload because she wouldn't stop attacking me). Then, she goes and kills a guard in Dragon Bridge because he accidentally hit her, or she accidentally hit him and he became aggressive. Serana's being a little touchy this playthrough.

Heavily modded, but I still need to share this.

Me and my party of 7 - Myself, my faithful friend J'zargo, Erik the Slayer, Peart Rho the Nord Warrior, Solaste, the Dunmer Archer and my character's wife, Ralof, and newly-vampiric Sven - are trodding through the snowy wastes of the Winterhold territory. We climb over a hill to hear the sounds of fighting down below, discovering a large (Warzones Mod) conflict between the imperials and stormcloaks, with about 30 men on each side. The Stormcloaks were losing badly, and as Stormcloak heroes, we naturally hurry down and enter the fray.

We each split up a bit. J'zargo, Solaste, and Sven take the positions at the rear to use their ranged attacks. I charge off with Peart, while Erik and Ralof flank a group of imperial soldiers. There are at least two imperial commanders fighting, and they make some seriously rough opponents. While Peart and I handle one, the others hold off the second plus some more soldiers.

Midway through the fight, Ralof is injured badly and falls to a knee. (With the companions mod I have, death is very possible for companions, in exchange for them being able to level up to 81 and having higher stats. You can toggle essentiallity off and on; I usually keep it off.) An imperial archer takes aim and sinks another arrow into Ralof, pushing him even closer to death. As another imperial officer approaches to end it, I try to make my way over, but he is just too far.

Sven drops the attention of the other general and rushed to Ralof, taking the second arrow meant for Ralof and holding off the attacker. Ralof slowly scurries back to his feet and recovers, attempting to go back to Sven's aid. It is too late, however, and a fireball from an imperial mage hits the fire-vulnerable Sven square in the chest. The explosion takes out at least three imperial soldiers by way of friendly fire, and Sven as well. Sven died saving Ralof. It was a really poetic moment as far as moments in Skyrim go.

We eventually won the battle, losing about 20 Stormcloak soldiers and Sven, leaving a battered force of about 10 men left versus the 30 dead imperials. The Stormcloaks stopped by the corpses of their fallen brothers and Sven, and continued back to their destination. My group took Sven and set his body off at sea, lacking the tools for a proper burial.

It was really well-played out, and all this happened naturally. This is why I love mods. cx

@Unionhack: I usually try to stay out of those conflicts, at least at lower levels. Those Warzone Stormcloak/Imperial soldiers are much tougher than the ones in the vanilla game, at least in my experience. I've been two-shotted by a Stormcloak wielding an iron warhammer when I had well over 200HP. I don't know if it was a bug or what, but...yeah. The same Stormcloak (this was on a different playthrough than my current one) ragdolled me across the map with the second hit. :|

This literally just happened to me. I was in Riften when an Imperial courier suddenly runs in through the gate, shortly followed by like three Stormcloak soldiers. They run him down and murder him right there in the middle of the marketplace. I just kind of stared at the screen for a minute, then saved and came to post about it because I'd never seen anything like that before.

EDIT: And then, to top things off, an Imperial soldier attacks one of the guards standing outside of Riften. I go to help her...and get charged with assault for my trouble, even though I know for a fact that I only hit the soldier. :?

Something like this happened to me, an Imperial courier apparently ran into Stormcloak controlled Riften and was murdered by the guards. It was funny he didn't even fight back.

Anyways I have an interesting story, One afternoon in Dawnstar an Ancient Dragon started circling overhead, but it wasn't hostile. However the guards did not take kindly to a dragon flying over their air space so they started attacking it. After a long battle only 2 guards were left and the dragon needed to land. Since I was curious to see what would happen I equipped a healing spell and ran to heal the dragon. Then the dragon became hostile to me and i was forced to kill it.

I learned 2 things from this: Dragons not hostile to you the player, will not have damaging breath attacks. And second dragons don't like making friends. :(
