Dark Brotherhood, cool? I want 'em cold...

Post by Dark Spark »

...This is an open letter to Bethesda:

It is no big matter that, when you present the next audience with an Assassins' Guild, it may come as a very helpful suggestion that they stand as a reviled guild of assassins, not a bunch of helpless tramps.

Let's take a short rewind: in TES:IV has its core leadership ripped to shreds by a misguided Silencer because they fell complacent to the notion a past victim may have set his suicidal vendetta to strike as deep into the Black Hand as he could plunge the blade. In TES:V the guild is little more than a disguised mercenary band.

We've played this game from Square One. Next time give us a problem that, when we solve it, we're closer to Square Three than anything else.

Joining the assassins' guild should be a hallmark of a cold-hearted badass. It should be harder to join into than the other schmucky guilds, but the very act of joining should earn some gosh-darned respect.

I'm not above the idea of vampirism here. Been there. Done that.
Baurus: Our job is to get the Emperor out of situations like this. Though I'll admit, things aren't going exactly to plan.

Casandra: At the moment, the deadliest weapon at my disposal is a goblin's head on a stick. I'd be worried if this was the plan.

That's why I'm hoping the next TES game will be set in Hammerfell or Elsweyr, the Dark Brotherhood would be like Assassin's Creed (1) meets the Elder Scrolls! Who does't want to see this?

But I have noticed Bethesda do have a thing for killing off nearly all the Dark Brotherhood characters recently.
Speak, if you have aught to say worth the listening.
