Omg that is my Felina to a tee. She kills old ladies from behind then resurrects the body to serve her in death. Dark Brotherhood wut wut!Witchery wrote:Or magic users that resurrect dead bodies, or assassins that kill old ladies from behind. . .Knight Captain Kerr wrote:

I play an elf and a human...so the race doesn't matter to me. I just think of what would be a cool character to play, make a story, go for it. Sex only matters cuz like I said I personally relate better. Plus I like to go shopping in Skyrim.

I suppose when you put it that way it is kind of odd...but I don't know, I was going to say I always play as a girl simply because it's easier for me to role-play and make decisions as a girl than as a guy and i rp a lot...but I suppose now that kind of requires me to also add that for the RP to me it's much easier to place something familiar, like simply the gender, and place that in a fantasy world than it is to be 100% unfamiliarized. however with that i sometimes struggle to not begin RPing as myself...I probably should play as a guy hahahKnight Captain Kerr wrote:

Derp, true...but finding clothes or weapons in a dusty dungeon doesn't give you the same "new" satisfaction as shopping in a store or making it yourself in your personal forge in the cellar.

Re: Gender you play as most?
Keep this on topic please guys, we have plenty of places to discuss items/skills/whatnot.
I usually play as a guy, simply because I think that the guys tend to look better.
Although in saying that, my VL is a female Imperial. And she is epic.
I suppose if you add all my characters up, I'd probly only have had a few more guy characters than girls, but I've never played for any huge length of time as a female yet.

Separation's easier for me when the character has less in common with me. I'm trying to cover every angle on my playthrough's as a result, I do some very bad things and they are much easier to do as a Vampire Lord, Werewolf, or as another gender or as an Argonian
But, when I'm trying to see what the actual gameplay is like Vampire Lord and Werewolf aren't balanced options so that leaves playing as an Argonian or as a Female.

I keep things pretty balanced, but usually choose based on what gender I think looks better for each race.
But I tend not to like the way the arms of the females look. They're too . . . feminine . . . in a way, if that makes sense. Why does my Nord barbarian stand with her little hands turned out like she just graduated charm school? Not very badass.

I've only played as female twice and that was only to model the character after my gf. Other than that I play as male. I'm not gonna be some perverted guy making a girl and putting her in forsworn armor or ancient nord. Plus I wouldn't be able to play as efficiently if I were not a male character. I usually stick to the Breton and wood elf races as well.

Definitely give it a go! I have a female character in each game, but my main and my best characters are always guys. I really like the challenge of being able to get into the head of someone so completely opposite of me, and honestly I find it the most enjoyable experience! I prefer men characters and they are a lot of fun.PixiePayton wrote:however with that i sometimes struggle to not begin RPing as myself...I probably should play as a guy hahah

Re: Gender you play as most?
My usual main character is a male, since I myself am male. Just a preference on my part. But I have no issues making female characters depending on what kind of character I want to create. It's all in the idea of the character I want to make.

I'm glad I'm not the only one bothered by this. At least female Orcs have a strong stance and walk. But it really rustles my jimmies that I can't have a rough and tumble female Nord warrior.jerulsan wrote:But I tend not to like the way the arms of the females look. I find what you describe to be a beautiful combination of elegance and power. Not every badass has to look like some hulking tattooed biker. Bruce Lee used to brush his teeth with Chuck Norris, even though Mr Lee was a lot more graceful and appeared less imposing.jerulsan wrote:But I tend not to like the way the arms of the females look. Also, not everyone likes their characters to be hulking, rough and tumble and buff. Assassins, especially the female ones kinda suit the whole feminine look. Hell even ranger or berserker type characters aren't all hulking brutes.Evil-i wrote:I find what you describe to be a beautiful combination of elegance and power. Oh hardly, most of my characters are female, and all my characters flopped. It's fun to play as something different from yourself, be it female, reptilian, elven, etc. But I don't really think making your characters female really shows some deep subconscious desire or behavior.Theificka wrote:If your guy, whats with the photo that makes you look like a woman?PixiePayton wrote:I suppose when you put it that way it is kind of odd...but I don't know, I was going to say I always play as a girl simply because it's easier for me to role-play and make decisions as a girl than as a guy and i rp a lot...but I suppose now that kind of requires me to also add that for the RP to me it's much easier to place something familiar, like simply the gender, and place that in a fantasy world than it is to be 100% unfamiliarized. however with that i sometimes struggle to not begin RPing as myself...I probably should play as a guy hahahKnight Captain Kerr wrote:

Re: Gender you play as most?
I almost always play as female, and I love putting on the Forsworn and ancient Nord armor if it fits my character at the time. I don't think that makes me pervy, but it's fun to have a character wearing something I like the looks of, and that I would never wear in real life.ZackyZombify wrote:I've only played as female twice and that was only to model the character after my gf. Anyway, for most of my characters (either light armor & sword-based, or stealthy assassin types), I play as female, but every now and then I like to try a male character. Usually, that's for heavy armor/two-handed brutes, I just can't get into playing a female that way.

Re: Gender you play as most?
IMO female characters are more popular with me because I can make them look so much better. maybe it's because I'm a male, but nearly every male character I make, save for Argonians, looks either too aggressive or too old for my liking. But with female characters I can always find a look that suits the character I' m making, be it an elderly necromancer, a middle aged warrior, a young priestess or any other combination.

Re: Gender you play as most?
Almost all my characters are male except for one Khajiit I made a while ago. I think it has something to do with a) I don't like how the females walk / move / hold themselves in general and b) I have a heck of a time finding armor I like that doesn't seem like its purpose is to expose every possible bit of skin, which I hate. So when I do play as my female Khajiit I have to carefully pick and choose what she's wearing. Personal preference, I suppose.

In Skyrim, male, being male myself. Considering there are now no real differences between genders other than slight cosmetic and dialogue changes.
