Re: Welcomes and Goodbyes
Well, between losing my Great-Grandfather, ending a relationship that lasted a year and 11 months, having to manage a lot of school issues, and having to generally keep the rest of my family as well as myself sane, the forum kinda took a backseat.
But now that things are less serious, I'm glad to be back.
Also, Midna Avatar makes me happy.

Re: Welcomes and Goodbyes
Hi there, I'm silversatyr. I'm from Australia and just recently found this site. ^.^
Looks to be a cozy community, which is always a plus.
I... never really played the Elder Scrolls before Skyrim came out. I had played Morrowind at one point a few years ago, but hadn't really taken to it and decided to forget it existed (sorry Morrowind lovers, it's just not my cup of tea >.<; ).
Then Skyrim came out and I was watching a pretty cool Let's Play of it on YouTube when I realised I really, really wanted to play the game for myself. I saved up and bought it and, over 160 hours later, realised that Oblivion also existed. Since then I've enjoyed both games and have spent a lot of time in them, learning the lore and just falling in love with the land of Tamriel and her people.
I've always been a writer and prolific reader, so when I found out that people had actually done role play stories, it seemed natural to start one of my own. Both failed terribly and I gave up for a while, but lately the Skyrim itch has returned so I figure I'll try again. Seems to be working out okay so far! ^.^
(I'd throw a link to my RP blog, but it seems I have to wait to be confirmed before I can post out-going links. ;P )
Anyway, I'm big on RPGs and prefer story and characters (and exploration, can't forget that!) over graphics and gameplay (though I do enjoy both, of course), so Skyrim has become a favourite of mine.
So... that's me in a nutshell~

Hello silversatyr - welcome to the forums!
Don't worry, even though you don't love Morrowind I'm sure you'll fit right in. Morrowind is a mean, mean bully sometimes!

My guess is you're thinking of Midas because if he faced a gorgon then he would be stone.
